It seems the gave away a lot of the set pieces unless they actually do something bigger than take down a plane. The trailer would have been just as effective without giving that away.

Well, the cliff jump was the biggest set piece in F5, and that was in the first half hour.

That 3minute trailer was ****ing awesome! I cannot wait for that Carano and Rodriguez fight.

This looks insane (in a good way).

Reminds me of that joke about FF from the American Dad episode.

I think that the Hangover 3 is moving, the studio would be crazy to put it up against Fast 6. I'm starting to believe this movie can do 250-275mil. Unlike The Hangover Fast is coming off of a well received. film.

Just seen the three minute trailer. Blew me away! This looks amazing and CRAZY! Definitely one of my most anticipated films of the year. Can't wait to see Gina Carano in action. That fight scene looked awesome.

I am so happy that fights between women are actual fights now. Not hair pulling and scratching.

i agree. but studio is not risking anything here. this is not anymore a 100million or 200 domestic movie. they are going for 300millions. crazy but possible. :woot:

i like how the movie will start with a sex scene. hahahhah

It's obvious that they are going all out and I for one love that. It's a silly over the top braindead franchise, show us the explosions. and get outta the way.

It's like after the terrible Fast and Furious they finally decided to go all out with the franchise. I loved the move away from racing as I felt the movies were getting stale.

it's like Fast Five was a semi-reboot or something!

I agree, they have almost gone with an oceans 11 - get away with it - blow stuff up vibe

You must be referring to Tokyo Drift, 'cause Fast and Furious is what revived the franchise in the first place!

Nope. Fast and Furious I was bored by it and I also thought it was a mess. Plus, the whole car racing angle got tired for me.

But to be honest seeing that the characters from the original were back is what initially brought the series back from the dead, and five then took it to heights I never thought they'd reach. I thought the series was dead after tokyo drift (which was cool but only character who left an impression was Han), but Im glad I was wrong.

Yeah, 2Fast2Furious was pretty week and Tokyo Drift didn't even feel like it was part of the same franchise. But Fast & Furious got me interested again and Fast Five was f***ing epic. This looks like it could be too. The Rock was a great addition to the cast and I think Gina will be too. And hopefully Luke Evans will give this franchise the one thing that it's been missing in pretty much all of its installments--a great villain.

Luke Evans hasn't been in a lot of films but every time I see him in a movie he brings out his best.

In all honesty I think that Fast Five, FF6 and potentially FF7 will be considered as the first EPIC Car based film triliogy. Even though there are four films prior to this, F5 and FF6 is on a whole new level. Plus doing most of the action in-camera as opposed to CG is what makes it so much better... This FF franchise is really proving to be the pinnacle for a good ole action romp!

Anyway does anybody know what the budget for this film is? As well as the run time? If I had to guess I'd say this film cost between $170mil and $200mil seeing as how F5 cost $125mil. And since F5 clocks in at 130min I'd say this film is probably 145min.
