Ludacris Insinuates 'F9' Goes to Space

It appears Fast & Furious 9 will be out of this world. While a guest on Thursday's SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show, Ludacris tipped his hand and alluded that a portion of the highly-anticipated F9 will take place in space.

The reveal happened when co-host Julia Cunningham said she was trying to imagine how the blockbuster series could possibly keep topping itself with plots when she mentioned a few scenarios, which included space.

"I will say that you are very intuitive, because you said something right, but I'm not going to give it away" the rapper and franchise actor said.

Cunningham tried to pry the answer out of him, saying she bet it was space, which is when the actor covered his mouth as though he let a secret slip. Ludacris then tried to play coy. "I don't know. I don't know what you said," the actor teased.

The franchise going to space has been a rumor for a little while. Last year, series screenwriter Chris Morgan was asked about a space adventure as possibility. He replied, "I will say — what’s the best way to answer this? — you’ll have to wait and see. Listen, as long as the stakes were set up correctly, then I’m down for whatever."

Of course it will be. It should involve aliens, time travel, wormholes, zombies, Nazis, ninjas, pirates, cowboys, vampires, Keanu Reeves and dinosaurs.

When pondering how exactly they bring Han back, I hadn’t considered time travel and now I feel like an idiot. Of course that’s how they do it. But how do you think they go back in time?

a. Dom uses the rope from the bridge that we see at the end of the trailer to slingshot his Mustang around the sun.

b. That rocket engine Fiero hits 88 miles per hour.

c. Dom enters the Quantum Realm so he can collect all the Infiniti sedans and bring back dead members of the family.

d. Dom installs a hot tub in the back of a limo that has time travel capabilities.

If time travel is involved, the plot for #10 should be Dom and his crew go back in time to save the whales.

I saw a car today that had a Paul Walker bumper sticker. It had this quote from him where he said something about how he loved to go fast and if it killed him one day, he’ll have died doing what he loved (or something to that effect). The sticker was obviously meant to pay tribute to him but I gotta say, it made me feel ****ing weird.

It will be like that scene in Ad Astra but with NOS. NOS in the space cars and the space suits. Roman will inevitably end up floating away from the moon, screaming hysterically, and Dom will jump and fly towards him and catch him like superman catching lois lane.

Dom: "I don't need wings. Ive got family."

Honestly, I just can't see how, or even why. I think it's just a joke. You can't fly space shuttles like you can drive cars. There's no drifting or drag racing in space.
