Fast and the Furious 9: The Fast Saga

2 Fast 2 Furious is funny because it tried to set Tyrese up as a replacement for Vin’s character (the buff, sexy guy who takes his shirt off a lot) but then they realized he’s much better suited to just being the screaming idiot of the group, lol.
That was the only one in the series where Tyrese wasn't acting like a clown.

I know I’d laugh if they went with the idea that everything after the first film was a dream because Dom actually crashed at the end and ended up in a coma.

And most of the people that were in the franchise after the first one were all imagined.

Man the buzz on this movie's not good. Everyone's saying this is the movie that just takes it TOO far and thats saying ALOT considering the sheer absurdity levels this series gone to. It sounds like this is just straight up a science fiction cartoon.

I'm more than likely going to be checking this out in theaters but honestly, the runtime is a deterrent for me. This really needed two and a half hours when they have two more movies in the pipeline?

lol fans don’t know what they want until they get it. This franchise has been a cartoon for a long, loooong time, and now it’s gone too far?

I was watching Chris Stuckmann's review just now and he's been a fan of the series and he is reiterating what everyone is saying: this movie takes it too far. He didnt like it and I'm hearing that lot. Getting a little worried. Like, I love bonkers, crazy over the top action movies, but this one sounds like it just completely loses its mind....which is SAYING something since the last installment had The Rock and Statham battle a robotic Idris Elba, so I'm wondering whats so insane about this movie that its losing people.

Yeah everyone makes the same dumb joke about them going into space until it actually happens and then complains how stupid it is.

The series peaked at 6 for me. Having a car jump through two different high rises in 7, and then having the villain from that movie but a good guy in 8 was a bridge too far.

7 is actually my personal favorite of the series. A lot of great action set pieces, good character moments, it was funny, Statham was a BADASS villain, and it was a heartfelt sendoff to Walker. That was where the series shouldve ended.

I enjoyed F8 but it definitely was a drop down and started to get REALLY ridiculous. I thought Hobbs and Shaw was better than F8 but again the absurdity levels were pretty ridiculous.

The movie was a bait and switch. They marketed it as being about Statham hunting them down. But really was about them trying to get a device for Mr Nobody

True, Statham was sort of a side villain but idk i loved Statham goin around and wrecking shop. I remember being so giddy seeing him and the Rock face off at the beginning of the movie.

Fast Five would have been the PERFECT film in this series (and it is the best one) if ONLY they had included Michelle. As much as I love that movie, it really irks me that she isn’t in it. I never understood why they did that stupid fake out death thing with her, RIGHT after they brought her back to the franchise. I’ll give them credit for making us believe she was really dead, since they didn’t bring her back at the end of F&F and kept her out of Five until the post credits scene, but still. That movie would have been better had she been part of the crew.
