Tyrese is Still Fast, Still Furious

Gibson announces his return to the racing franchise.June 30, 2010 Vin Diesel and Paul Walker won't be the only series stars returning for Fast Five, the fifth installment in Universal's The Fast & the Furious franchise.

"I'm back!! Roman is back!!," Tyrese Gibson declared this afternoon via Twitter. Gibson co-starred in the 2003 sequel 2 Fast 2 Furious when Diesel declined to return, but then didn't reprise his role as Roman Pearce in the subsequent sequels The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift and Fast & Furious.

Roman was an ex-con and childhood friend of Walker's protagonist ,Brian O'Conner.Dwayne Johnson has been rumored to be playing the lawman chasing Diesel and Walker this time around.

Justin Lin, who helmed the last two Fast films, will once again direct.

I havent been interested in this series since number 2, I guess this means tyrese dies early in TF3 so he can go do this. heres an idea make an original movie and not the "fifth" movie in a franchise that is clearly running on fumes. I still find it funny when I see grown men driving around in souped up cavalier's and hondas and then go sit in a mcdonalds parking for like 5 hours and stare at there chrome wheels. Also what is it with racing from one green light to another with some random? does anyone care if your honda beat a minivan?

Fast And Furious (Production Budget: $85 million)
Domestic Gross: $155,064,265 (Opening weekend, in April no less: $72 million)
Foreign Gross: $198,177,608
Total Gross: $353,241,873

There are summer blockbusters this year (with significantly larger budgets) that still haven't, and probably will not reach that goal.

The Fast and the Furious Franchise will continue as long as the films are THIS commercially viable, while being modestly budgeted films.

Loved the first one. Didn't see the 2nd or 3rd but I decided to watch the last one when Vin came back and was caught off guard with how much I enjoyed the film. I will def see this next one. I could see that hot Spanish girl who was the drug lord's girlfriend or whatever come back to be Vin's love interest, like she tried to be in the last film.

Damn dude, seems like the Fast and the Furious has you all bent out of shape. Aside from that, maybe some people find it a hobby to soup up their cars, there's nothing wrong with that, get some fresh air my man. Back on topic tho, I have a feeling that this film is gonna be pretty good, I hope this one ties up all the loose ends. I wouldn't mind Lucas Black coming back as well

Yeah he was supposed to be one of the black cars in the ending scene. Nothing wrong with tuning cars (minus crappy bodykits I am a JDM guy lol), it's a hobby Marvelman. I watch these movies for the cars....that's why Tokyo Drift is my favorite and the only one I own .

Hopefully with Dwayne Johnson's character being a US Marshall this might be a legitimate chase move. I mean Steve McQueen Bullitt type of chase. Obviously they'll be a race of some sort.
