Favorite MCU movie battle

Hey folks as a follow-up to my "best Marvel fight scene" thread, which deals with either one on one confrontations or one vs many confrontations,

I thought I'd have a thread on favorite big action set pieces, the battles that the MCU seems to do so well, where you have teams of characters taking on other threats.

Of course the line is quite blurry between battle and fight scene, so really this is just about sharing opinions.

Now, I put favorite in here for a reason, because while some feel that while perhaps the Civil War airport battle is the best in terms of action / choreography they might actually enjoy other MCU battles better.

Also, just to make the poll interesting I chucked in a bunch of films that aren't actually MCU, but feature Marvel characters (e.g. the X-Men and Deadpool).

No idea. The MCU battles haven't been that great in my opinion, due to them feeling too much like heroes vs hundreds of CGI punchbags, with some exceptions. Still, I think I'll pick the final battle in Iron Man 3, despite the movie as a whole being a disappointment.

No Iron Man vs Cap and Bucky I loved the airport battle but the end fight was just amazing imo. It was nice to see Tony angry, he went for the kill numerous times.

After that I'd say Ancient One vs Kaecilius and his goons.

Yeah, I did another thread "best Marvel fight scene" which his pretty much split between TWS v Cap in TWS and Cap and Bucky v Tony.

For me, there's a blurry line between a fight scene, which is one character against another, or one against a group and a battle, which is a team fight with multiple engagements

I know , it's a very blurry line indeed. For me, both of your examples are fight scenes, but hey, like I said, it's a blurry line, so if they are your favorite battles, its all good.

Personally, my favorite fight scene is Cap and Bucky v Tony, for the reasons you describe - Tony is trying to kill Bucky, and is pissed enough at Cap to really mess him up. Meanwhile Bucky is mostly trying to escape and Cap is just trying to disable Tony's armour. It's complicated and messy and hugely entertaining.
