Days of Future Past Favourite moments in 'X-men: First Class'

I just love when Erik has that fedora when he appraoched the bank. It brought me back to McKellen in X1 when he wore the same things.

Not only that, fedoras are cool.

2. Emma kicks off that general off the boat and Shaw goes, "You are your own God"

I think he said "Emma, we do not hurt our own", I remember cause I really liked that line, and the little smirk she makes when he says it.

Every scene James McAvoy was in. The man doesn't get enough love. He kept me mesmerized.

You can encourage me anytime you want, professor. :hrt:

James McAvoy was amazing and so charming.

I really found him charming when he was talking in Moira at the bar, drunk and saying that all mutant stuff. It was really cute.

I thought it was a cute scene, and agree it was kinda corny but I did enjoy the codename scene and the following scene of the kids partying...

1. Erik's scene in the pub, I have to admit I wasn't expecting it, but I did enjoy it. Yes, I felt sorry for the guy whose hand was pinned to the table, but I think it worked.

2. Wolverine's cameo, this earnt a fair bit of laughter from the audience, myself included.

3. Everything about the final scene on the beach from Erik literally dropping everything when Carles got shot to Banshee and Havok taking on Angel.

4. The first scene with the young Xavier and the young Mystique.

5. Shaw bringing down the CIA base with one foot.

6. Erik's 'kinky' line. I know it was a little mean of me but I found this utterly hilarious. Not only did he ruin the mood but he managed to embarrass the easily embarrassed Hank and the not so easily embarrassed Raven.

7. The final scene, with Emma Frost being recruited by Magneto. I guess it's technically not correct in terms with her comic history but amazing all the same.

I love the simple things. It's all in the details.

For example, when Shaw signals to Riptide to give the little "demonstration" to Colonel Hendry (sp?), he twirls his finger in a little twister motion.

Forgot to mention, also love the scene where the Russian troops inspected the van where Magneto and the soldiers were hiding and Charles made them think it was empty. Very cool

I liked when Riptide got taken down twice at the beach battle. Havok blasts him and Magneto drops the side of Shaws sub on him.

Small moments that I liked..

-Beast grabbing the mannequins boob lol...

-Magnus pulling the bankers filling

--Charles Francis Xavier

--Moira coining the term X-men

When Magneto asked Charles to shoot him in the head to prove he could deflect the bullet. He was almost giddy because he was getting the chance to show off his powers - to a friend!

When Kevin Bacon walked anywhere. Best pimpwalk in comic history.

Finding out what the earthquake thuds were outside the CIA complex

The minute or so in-between Erik seeing Shaw in the bar picture in Argentina, to the moment when he revealed the number's on his arm and the germans reacted to it with slow realization, shock, then preparation for conflict.

"They didn't have names...it was taken from them, by pig farmers and tailors".

Along with Fass's acting and the score playing at the time, maybe one of favorite scenes in movie history.

The movie was pretty good in the first 20 minutes, but the movie didn't pull me and truly grab me until I saw that Argentina scene and that scene of Magneto stabbing the farmer, and in one shot, throwing the knife at the bartender, bringing it back, and stabbing the farmer again.

It was at that point I knew this movie was going to truly be amazing.

Magneto ripping through the boat with the chain was a nice bit of FX and a cool use of his powers. I was impressed.

That line is most definitely on my short list for favorite movie lines ever.

1. Argentina Bar Fight
2. Banshee flopping in bush
3. Magneto pushing Banshee off dish
4. Azalels CIA infiltration scene
5. The beach scene
6. Lifting the Sub out of the water
7. Banshee vs Angel
8. Manly Tears
9. Wolverine's cameo

My Favs:

- The Erik vs Shaw showdown with Charles "looking" on.

- Erik using the giant ship anchor as a weapon

- The whole recruiting scene with perfect music ending in THE best cameo of all-time

- Charles using his famous monologue from the first films as a pick up line!

- Nazi hunting Erik pissed off and on the hunt (bank & bar scenes)

SO much to enjoy because most everything was superbly written, acted and orchestrated.

The Satellite Scene. The music and the acting, it just combined to make a beautiful and perfect scene.

For me it was:

Emma and Charles' use of telepathy
Charles' accessing Erik's memory
Everything on the beach when Erik starts his speech on humans
Charles and Raven's kitchen scene revealing her scaly body
Charles getting shot scene (Raven's reaction)
Rebecca Romijn's cameo
Emma eating a cracker while mentally seducing the Russian General
CIA agent's reaction to Charles and Moira's kiss LOL
Shaw's Hellfire reference to living as "Kings and Queens"
Azazel teleporting the CIA agents to their deaths

This and more. Really enjoyed the dropping of agents by Azazel lol. Any Magneto scene and any telepath scene. Kevin Bacon was just too cool though.

Other than that great scene in X1 where we see Xavier accessing Senator Kelly's memories and re-living them, I was happy to see more of the portrayal of Xavier/Emma using their telepathic powers in a variety of different ways...

I'm still hoping that there's some kind of astral plane battling in the works in a sequel.. :(
