Not surprised. A lot of Americans dont know the difference between the Balkans and the Baltic and havent heard of the bosnian/yugoslavian 90s war. I doubt I could point to either on a map, and off the top of my head I dont know a single thing about that war. It's the sort of thing only a niche group of Americans would know or care about. A president is part of that niche that should at some point know, but I dont really expect them to know about stuff like that until they actually need to know for something crucial.

What was the context of his ignorance? Did not knowing it put any crucial plans or deals or diplomacy at risk? Or was it just a typical, "Trump doesn't know wtf he's talking about." type of situation?
