No consensus.... that means no result or will they go with the majority on the 10 counts?

Judge will probably send them back for another chance to reach a consensus on the other 10 counts. He may even sit down with each individual juror to make sure they know what they're deciding on.

Will we get the 8 counts announced tonight or waiting until a consensus on the rest is found?

Why the sudden giving up? What else is there that's going on with Cohen that has him taking jail?

It has to be pretty significant if 3-5 voluntarily is a better deal.

It's kind of hilarious that Mueller has directly/indirectly caused 2 of Trump's closest to get jail time, assuming Manafort doesn't avoid it.

Yeah, the judge is interviewing the jurors.

Cohen guilty counts apparently...

Counts 1-5. Tax evasion 2012-2016
Count 6 false statement to financial institution Feb 2015-April 2016
Count 7 willful cause of unlawful corporate contribution June 2016-Oct. 2016
Count 8 excessive campaign contribution on Oct. 27, 2016

Stormy was October 27 wasn't she?

Mistrial on 10 Manafort counts

If they still cant reach consensus on the other 10 counts, they declare a mistrial and he'd go back to court at a later date to retry them.

Although if he's guilty of the 8 they have consensus on, he's screwed either way.

Cohen's 8th count is Stormy Daniels

Manafort guilty of 5 tax fraud counts

I am hearing confirmation of guilty on one.

All 8 Manafort counts guilty

Manafort jury deadlocked on 10 counts. Reached verdict on 8. Guilty on 5 counts of tax fraud, per @CBSNLive and one guilty count on failing to disclose foreign bank accounts.

another....

Manafort found guilty of 5 tax fraud charges, 1 charge of hiding foreign bank accounts, and two counts of bank fraud.

5 tax fraud
2 bank fraud
1 of hiding over seas bank accounts

Not sure what the composition of the other 10.

My watched-too-many-mobster-movies side wants to imagine Cohen thinks because of what he knows/has said he might be safer in jail than not.

That's still going to be a boatload of prison time. Given his age, likely his life. He'll appeal. Unless he thinks Trump is going to pardon him, which would be all kinds of terrible optics for Trump, not that he cares though.

Good that he's guilty but could have been more.

This judge did what he could get away with siding with the defense. Donald Trump took to twitter to interfere with the case and shill for Manafort being a 'good man' and attacking the prosecutors. So these guilty counts are in spite of that.

Also Manafort may be on trial next month on other charges unless it's delayed. I hope the prosecution learns to simplify their case as if the jurors are 5 year olds and how to counter Trump and potential meddling judges.

They'd better sequester that jury.... this trial ended like this because the judge let them wander about unchecked. No way there wasn't tampering of the jury here

I mean, those bank fraud charges could be 30 years each, which at 69, is a life sentence for even one of them for Manafort. These are complicated crimes, and it is possible there was just someone who could not understand the case.

Frankly, the next case for Manafort is the biggest one, with terms of Russia.

Now, the question is if Trump is going to pardon him....

Can't wait to see Trump's tweet calling Manafort a low life who got what he deserved.

'Cohen admits to working “at direction of the candidate” Trump and national enquirer to silence Karen McDougal. He also admits to Stormy Daniels payment that he made “with and at direction of the same candidate.” '

'Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA): "Any attempt by the President to pardon Mr. Manafort or interfere in the investigation into his campaign would be a gross abuse of power and require immediate action by Congress.” '
