Giuliani milked 9/11 to the last drop, so I'm not surprised he's an attention hog.

I am a little surprised at how he doesn't seem to care how ridiculous he makes himself look. It's like he doesn't care what kind of attention he's getting, good or bad, just so long as he's getting it.

Agreed. Even before all of this, I thought Giuliani was an attention hog. The guy couldn't do a speech without mentioning 9/11, and relished in being, "America's mayor". Obviously 9/11 is an important topic, but he went out of his way to milk it. To the point I started feeling disgusted that he was furthering his star power on the backs of dead Americans.

As for him making himself look ridiculous. Only thing I can think of is either he doesn't see himself as looking ridiculous. Or he sees the pros of unwavering loyalty on camera to Trump outweighing the cons of personal embarrassment on camera.

I'm just waiting for the biker's to drive around the White House with "i can't drive 55" playing

As a New Yorker I can tell you all that Rudy WAS ALWAYS a spotlight hogging, thin skinned, overly pugnacious gas bag with delusions of grandeur. ALWAYS. Even the feat of making NYC less crime ridden had more to do with the general decline in crime across the country during the Clinton years as well as his then Commissioner, Bill Bratton, which is why he forced Bratton out and replaced him with Bernie Kerik who would go on to become a convict himself. So to clarify... Rudy couldn't handle the idea that circumstances and another person was more responsible for the signature accomplishment that he's known for and forced that person out (and one can't help but wonder is again, Clinton's presidency coinciding with this massive drop in crime might also have contributed to his animosity towards Bill and Hillary) only to have his replacement spend time in prison.

Only the best people.

In fact, he actually was the basis for Biff Tannen in BTTF 2 so it comes as no surprise he's acting just like that character.

Ironically too, his wife Melania, is on one of her "Be Best" anti-cyberbullying rallies and completely ignoring the bully she is married to.

Jury seems to be indicating that they are almost done in the Manafort trial.

That will be very interesting...

Welp, looks like no verdict. Resume tomorrow.

The time this is taking given the evidence and witnesses that make this a slam dunk is making me nervous that this is not going to be a guilty verdict.

Not surprising but Cheetoh clearly doesn’t understand how lying under oath works. It’s not just “I said vs you said”. They have to have a little thing called evidence that corroborates that you lied. It’s how Sessions got caught and why he recused himself.

Hearing or reading Trumps 'speaches' always reminds of this line:
"At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."

I would take Billy Madison as President right now.

This is why we need like buttons.

Trump worried that interview with Mueller could be a perjury trap.

Can't say I'm surprised he doesn't know how perjury actually works. Also, perjury is really only a concern to someone who would plan on lying, so...

That’s the part I don’t get. Giuliani and company constantly say Trump has done nothing wrong and has nothing to hide, yet also say they don’t want him to interview with Mueller, because it would be a “perjury trap”.

If he has nothing to hide, how would he perjure himself??

The argument they have been making is basically this. If Trump "accidentally" gets something wrong, he will be charged with perjury. If Trump says something that contradicts other testimony, they will say he is lying in favor of the other person and charge him with perjury.

Whether you're innocent or guilty you do not accommodate the other party by giving them everything because you have nothing to hide. How you're perceived is irrelevant. Trump's lawyers should not have shared everything for their sake and broken attorney client privilege. It's terrible lawyering.

That's like not asking for a lawyer if the police want to talk to you because you know you didn't do anything as a fact. The point is you need to be as legally protected as possible no matter what.

They ****ed up big time here. Now Mueller and co. can use that as evidence and whatever any lawyer needs for anything and in a court of law, use all of that against him however they may need to.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong because I'm no legal expert, but ****. Some common sense at least goes a long way here.

It could just be where Trump's lawyers can't challenge him and do whatever he says. You'd think Trump might listen to actual legal experts if this is the case but nope. Trump is blameless and a victim. And he thinks that's what's gonna save him.
