February 2008 Solicitations

What the hell, I might as well buy the whole run if it's only 4 issues. When does it start again?

The premise is the premise for Mystique. The only differences are that Scott calls them up rather than Chuck and it's a team of black-suited "badass" mutants instead of one shapeshifter.

Well, on the Heinberg thing, he's right. They had a giant cash cow on their hands with Young Avengers, and they basically squandered it waiting on Heinberg's stupid ass to return. A few months, sure. A year... maybe. But waiting two years before even considering a replacement writer is just beyond dumb.

Exactly.

Simply put, a co-plotter just does that, come up with plots. All the scripting and dialogue would be done by the other guy.

Thanks. I didn't know the distinction.

So, if you help write the script, you're a co-writer, and if you just came up with, or helped with, the plot itself, you're a co-plotter. Gotcha.

"Black to the Future." What the f**k? Just reading the titles to these stories even pisses me off.

"Those movies my cousin made were exploitation."

"Oh you outta tiiiime, baby!"

Looking forward to the aftermath of the bar assault in PWJ #4.Hope alot of those guys made it out.

This current DD arc is stretching pretty far. It's been the same story since #95 pretty much.

THE IMMORTAL IRON FIST: ORSON RANDALL AND THE GREEN MIST OF DEATH issue is going to be so awesome.

I get the same feeling from these Orson Randall stories that I do from Indiana Jones and the Wesley Dodd Sandman mysteries: It's like a veil lifted to reveal a highly romanticized and super-fun past full of adventure and wonder. Looking forward to more of it.

^ Totally.

Plus, this part of the solicit is awesome.

We promise you spine-tingling chills, ass-kicking action and pulp-fiction adventure like you’ve never seen

I liked this part, myself:

That is one hell of a creative team.

Yeah it is. And it seems Brubaker won't be apart of it and just Fraction.

I'm okay with that. Fraction's more then proven himself to be a solid writer, in my book. His Casanova is one of the best things I'm currently reading and I really dig The Order and PWJ.

Yes, I'm ok with just Fraction writing the issue.

Fraction can definitely carry an issue by himself.

I have it on good authority (my mate Mike!) that Home Made Vigilante is being made into a feature film in 2008. I don't know if its based on an original comic, but its damn funny.

Anyone else seen it yet?
If they spent more money and got better actors then this could be the next Sean of the Dead or Hot Fuzz. Maybe.

Random solicitation from someone who didn't read the rules on that sort of thing. Given the number of posts, I bet we'd find 12 others just like it if we searched.

Edit: I love being right.

I got that part. Why this thread, though, I wonder?

EDIT: Haha. I wonder if he saw the thread title andthought this was where you put your random solicitations.

Probably just random. Or maybe he saw the word "solicitations" and figured his post would fit.
