If they cast Jason Lewis as Cap I'll give him a chance.

Stupid question - which villain would you rather see, Red Skull or Herr Kleiser?

I can see Lewis doing it. Especially if he's fighting the asthma monster.

the movie could/should be 120mins (2 Hours) with the first (Act) 40mins breaking down like this; Setting up the time frame its the 1940's that could be about 5 mins, 15 mins on Steve Rogers his girlfriend Gail and him getting into the Project Rebirth. The 20 mins on the 6 moths of training for Steve to become Captain America, as well as showing the rise of the Red Skull. The first 40mins would end with cap getting his costume and shield and heading off to war.
The Second (Act) 35mins would break down like this; 10 mins on Caps first mission and him meeting Bucky (he would be more like Brubakers bucky), and Bucky being assined Caps partners (Propaganda for the kids back home), 5 mins on Caps first meeting the Red Skull and Cap/Bucky trailing the Red Skulls and trying to stop his plans, and the last 20 mins would be caps mission to a Nazi stronghold on the coast of Iceland to stop a prototype hydrogen bomb from being launched. Cap falls into a state of suspended animation and Bucky is killed.
The Third (Act) 45mins would break down like this; the first 5 mins would be a deep sea exploration team finds the body of cap in a block of ice. 20 mins on cap being brought up to speed on all the time that he has been gone, being reintoduced to the world and showing the Red Skull now possing as George Maxon, an American businessman and leader of AIM and his plans. and the last 20 mins Cap is called on to stop the Red Skull with a battle on the top of mount rushmore to stop the Red Skulls new plague.
I don't think it's a good idea to spend that much time in the 1940s, since everyone knows that Cap gets suspended in time, and modern Captain America's most compelling feature is his "man out of time" status. That's why I suggested opening with his discovery, and telling his origin in flashback.

will i was going the superman, spider-man way with the story, and there isn't any reason that the WWII stuff can't be cut down but if you take out too much you lose something. i think there needs to be a good balance in the movie.

also would you have cap keep his ID a secret Post Thaw?

i am split on this seeing as it would make for a good story to have Steve Rogers on tv giveing an interview, but it could be just a good to have it be Cap.

how is this?

I don't think a secret identity is necessary (as evidenced by when Cap lost his in the comics, and it didn't change anything), since Cap has no family in this time, and his supporting cast typically consists of fellow heroes and Sharon Carter.

Do you think anyone would accept Brendan Fraser as Captain America?

No way, he's a horrible dramatic actor and he has the completely wrong look.

Okay. Would anyone around here accept Liev Schreiber as Captain America (assuming he dyed his hair and whatnot)?

I like your idea with the flash back for the origin, it doesn't spend to much time in the past and gives Cap more time to fight the enemy today.

Question, I know a lot of people want The Red Skull as the major villian, but would he be like a mob boss of in control of another countries army?

He would be Hitler's right hand man with his own agenda of wanting to overthrow the Fuehrer.

i know that part back in WW2 but i what i meant to ask in the present day should Red Skull be a mob boss type character or what he was in WW2 the controler of terrorist army?

I figured he'd be in control of HYDRA or something similar to that.

Skull could be backing a horde of neo-nazi terrorists.. Hydra, maybe.. but they might save that for Nick Fury..

i see the red skull being the head of the Watchdogs a right-wing terrorist group or AIM if they bring in the cosmic cube.

Nah, Sinese for Fury. I could totally see Schreiber as the Red Skull though.
