The Dark Knight Rises Female Robin?

Empire Mag thinks Ellen Page would make a good Robin in a future Batman movie. Are you ok with a female version of Robin on the big screen?

Stephanie Brown did suit up as Robin.

No. It's like admitting that Batman and Robin are gay or something. I think Robin needs to have male aggressiviness too. It's different with a girl. It's harder to believe that a girl would be become a dangerous and vindictive criminal without Batmans intervention.

IMO I love the idea; it'd be cool to see a female Robin (Ellen Page's got my vote) instead of a Batgirl and I think it'd be awsome if they threw in Dick Grayson as Nightwing as well. But if you want a straightforward answer, I say hell yes. t:

This whole idea only exists because most normal people, Empire included, think of Robin as a joke. Well Empire doesn't know jack and any batfans who still think Robin is camp or sillly probably need to stretch their thinking a little. Don't be so obvious.

Ellen would ONLY work as Carrie Kelly from DKR, not Stephanie Brown, if they bring Brown, im expecting someone a little better looking than Page.

I dunno to be honest; I really like the idea of a female Robin, yet you can't replace Dick Grayson either. However, I do have one idea that not in the next film, but in another sequel, is that if we were to tweek it a bit and stick in Jason Todd first; probably one of the only few ways to get a Robin story started without it goin' campy and reach out for an even darker story. Ya know, mainly like Nolan's spin on Death In The Family if it all worked out. But that's just me though; I'm an "either/or" guy at the momment.

Honestly, I can't see Ellen Page in movies without the pregnant-belly anymore. It's like some kind of curse from seeing Juno..it's burned into my brain... Ellen Page as Robin would be very upsetting to me regardless of acting ability.

A female Robin in general, I'd prefer to happen later on with a male Robin coming first. He doesn't necessarily have to start as Robin, but I'd prefer male Robin first.

I think a female Robin would work really well, cus lets face it a male Robin worked in the 60's but nowadays how many teenage boys would assume that identity, I think none, so with any modern Batman film Robin would either need serious changes, or need to be female and with the right casting I think most people would accept it.

seeing how i'm a girl i'm all for girl-power but HELL NO to a female Robin. if they must have a Robin in any future batman movies(even though i kinda hope they keep him out for now) it should be Grayson..or at least a guy. no girl robin. that'd be awful.

what?! REALLY? I loved dkr(not a fan of the art though), but it was a dark story . I could have done without batmans psycho attitude tho. I haven read DKR2, well i read the first par,t and it sucked so i dont plan on reading the rest

Ellen Page's acting is good though.
