FF2 movie costumes: Can you spot the modifications?

I would call myself a FF purist and yes belts and more of a kirby look would be cool but I think to pull it off everybody would have to have perfect bodies and the only two in the movie who do are the torch and Sue.

Why would you need a perfect body to wear a uniform that is "NOT" form-fitting? That's why fat people wear loose clothing to begin with...Right? They wouldn't need to be able to squeeze into that seran wrap they wear now and they's be more comfortable. Just a thought.

I think the new suits work well and give the team a sexy, sleek and slim look and pay homage to the newer FF comics. Of course I wouldn't call the Thing slim ha ha and I like the old Kirby just in trunks look but I'm not sure that would have worked well in the movie (the thing running around in blue undies lol)

If he was CGI, it would work.

I think I know the look your talking about find some pics from the 60's tv show "Lost in Space" that uniform might be more of the look your talking about

Very close. Take out the shiney stuff and shrink them down a bit.

Now before you go nuts, just hear me out. I know this a photo of a kid. But it's the only uniform I could find that's close to what I talking about.
With some slight changes it could be made a little tighter. But it could keep that "Challengers of the Unknown" look that the FF copied. Add the taller black boots and the black gloves.....slap a 4 on his chest....reduce the collar, color it blue and you got a Kirby / Byrne FF jumpsuit.

Can someone manip this photo?

Albafan Wrote: IMO, the reason why that works and looks ok, is because the uniform is not Skintight fitting....also, as I've said before, drawing it and wearing it are two different things...

That's kind of a duh...lol......just like it works in the drawn comics. But then it wouldn't be a "life action" movie now would it?

Sure it would. :yay: They mix CGI with live stuff all the time now.
Spiderman, Daredevil, Hulk, ........Silver Surfer..... What's wrong with a CGI Thing except a whining Chikilis who didn't won't to do it?

WHat??????

Those are still Live Action movies...Hulk of course would have to be CGI'd, but Bruce Banner wasn't. Spiderman is CGI while he's flying through the city via his webs....Johnny is CGI as he's flying in flames, yes Thing could have been CGI, but you are going into a whole other discussion with this.

How the heck did we go from costumes, to a belt to this?????lmao

The Fantastic Four never have masks, they are human beings in every sense of the word, and they are that 100% of the time....they happen to have powers, WHICH ARE CGI'D and should be....but they are themselves, they are not an altar ego, they are themselves. It would be silly to CGI them while they are human, which is a good portion of the time.

If you CGI them in their human form, you might as well hire pixar....and then you would have The Incredibles, not a live action Fantastic Four movie.

I'm still trying to figure out....all of this for a belt????????? wow

Yes, because of what I said....baggy....and a belt works......sleek fitting IMO, would not look as good as what we have....

I don't want the uniform of the early comics, I want them sleek, up to date, almost futuristic....that is what we have, and thats why I'm happy with them.

dude...calm down. Did you hear me say I wanted a completely CGI movie? Don't go to the other extreme...please. I'm just talking about The Thing. I say that CGI is mixed in with Live-Action movies and you just listed a few just now. What's the problem?

Read the above response...nothing to figure out.

I could live with jumpers like these....

The movie outfits are great, no need for a change, no need for a useless belt.

To quote ben, they're fine as is!!

Those look like factory worker uniforms....you want that for the F4?????

Ummmmmmmm no.......

21st century Fantastic Four deserves a 21st Century look, which they have, and as Casius stated......good as is.

The design on the boots have also been changed.
Hmm, at first I didn't see much differences but looking at them again they are definitely changed up a bit.

Fantastic Four

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer

It appears that the boots are now lower cut and don't go quite as high. They also seem to have given the boots straps on the side (although whether they're Velcro or not is hard to say) but Invisible Woman's looks mostly the same.

Nooooo....this with the necessary modifications. No "exactly" like the Challengers' uniforms. :whatever:

LOL, I like what they have designed MS, thats the bottomline for me....

Say.. Will Sue have the "belly shirt" outfit seen in the "Ultimates" series? that would be cool.. Also, a bikini costume or beach scene would be nice..

I'd totally be down for that.

They actually already made that version.
It's called "Into The Blue"
I can't reccomend this movie enough. Yes, it takes some liberties with the plot in that it doesn't hew closely to Kirby & Lee's original vision....
... yet somehow, it works.
As for Alba's performance, she truely takes it to a new level. :cwink:

I think a belt would look silly. The costumes are fine the way they are.

Seems like the modified the new "4" logo so that its more of a like chrome and white color instead of the metallic blue of the first film. Plus they raised it more, hence the looking that it'll fall off bit.
