The search function wouldn't work for me, so no idea if there's already a thread.

If the graphics turn out like this in the final game, this will be a particularly stunning looking RPG.

Yeah, I can't wait for this game. It made me forget about FFXII.

I'm not sure what to think of FFXIII Versus though. I tend not to like the spin-offs as much as the true Final Fantasy titles.

Eh, FFX-2 kinda sucked, and that was sorta similar, I guess? Idunno what to expect, actually.

Sweet Sci-fi goodness. I can't wait.
It's been too long since I've played a FF game.

I shoulf finish ff9 one of these days. Actually I have a alot to finish.
There is not enough time in the day.:csad:

This is the one game that I regret not getting to play since I won't be getting a PS3 for quite some time.:csad:

You're still on IX? :p

You have some catching up to do.

IX was actually one of my least favourite games in the Final Fantasy series. Viva and Kuja aside, there wasn't much I liked.

I like it...

I've played alot of them...I've just skipped around alot. I still have to beat 5 and I think 6.

Vivi and Steiner made that game awsome.

It's my second favorite of the PS era games, FF VIII is my favorite of that generation.:yay:

^

I think the reason I didn't like IX came down to the 'kiddiness' of it all. I really enjoyed VIII, and that was all about life-like characters. I like my realism.

^

It's been out in Japan for a while. 40/40 in Famitsu.

The US gets it in the next couple of months, and Europe in February.

please, ff8 was the worst one. unbalanced gameplay, overly complicated magic system.... and that's not even counting the crappy story. if you're talking about "kiddiness", why are all these trained soldiers running around, acting like stupid kids? why does quistis endanger a mission because she feels the need to apoligize to rinoa for hurting her feelings? lol. pure crap. too many coincidences. cid and his wife run a daycare center that just happens to be made up of all the main characters? laguna becoming president of esthar? wtf? ff8 was just something square hurriedly shat out to capitalize on the success of ff7. you should know better. but ff9 was kiddie and full of sterotypical, one dimensional characters.

It's also getting a DS side game titled "Revenant Wings". I'll have the famitsu scan up soon.

I love when others throw out their opinion, and try to force it like fact.:whatever:

The thing I most looking forward to in FFXIII is going to be the gameplay. I've read that they're trying to incorporate the fighting style of Advent Children as much as it's possible into the game.

I'm not worried about that. The Final Fantasy games have generally known to be quite spectacular visually speaking. And Square is one of the few developers who can really push a hardware to it's limits when they're up to it. The only problem I have is with the lady protagonist we've seen so far. I don't like her look, nor her weapons nor her style. It just seems...bleh.

Anyone know what this is from? I can't see to find out.

EDIT- Nevermind. I'm an idiot. The name is on the picture. Reading has failed me.

why? she looks pretty strong and she doesn't look like a **** and she's fashionable. what else could u ask for?

I think the character desginer for FXIII mentioned going for an athletic female when he created her, and I like her design to be honest. I don't know where everyone gets the Cloud comparisons from. It was Squall who used a gunblade in the past games.
