I wonder how they´ll introduce Batman to MoS.

You think Lex could be responsible? He needs introduction and he is a good villain that can be used in JL as well. I think maybe he will be in this one like a teaser, and he will appear in JL or that he is the main villain. If the latter is the case then we won´t probably see him in JL but in MoS 3 or JL 2 or 3.

Don´t you think Lex is a char that has to be introduced early?

My hope is that they use mainly the Riddler as the villain in the Superman/Batman movie(that's what brings Superman and Batman together). Lex is the good guy for most of the movie, but it's revealed in the end that he set everything up to get elected president. He's still the president at the end because of a lack of good evidence, but it still sets up him to be the villain in future movies.

Here's how I think it should go down.

Well written Masone! Short and concisely! Also easy to understand.

I like that idea a lot. Kind of a master mindgame (what one would expect from Lex and the Riddler). It connects Lex, Supes and Batman in a good way. It presents a scenario where the battle is won but the war is far from over (him being president). Lex using those droids is a good idea because what else can challange the likes of Superman? It´s IMO lame because I don´t like robots. Ultron is one thing, droids another. I do find it necessary to present Lex´s engineer skills so in that aspect it´s good. But that wouldn´t be the only fight so I could go for it. I mean we would also get some action scenes from Batman´s introduction, their Riddler quest and ofc when they fight themselves.

Best idea I heard so far anyways.

I can't imagine why we need a Batman villain in a JLA movie.

Whoever brought up Brother Eye, I think that's the best way to set up a JLA movie at the end of MOS2/Bats vs. Supes or whatever.

Might have been me but even if it's not, I wholeheartedly agree! It takes care of everyone's concerns with being too similar to Avengers and offers a cool DC villain that hasn't been seen in really any media outside of comics. The threat, scale, and groundedness is all there to make it a great follow up living in the world of MOS.

A lot of ppl seem to like Darkseid for the first JL movie. Is it only me who thinks he is too big to bring in as the first villain? Wouldn´t we want them to save him for a third movie?

I want Darkseid and I know I'm in minority here but I'd say that the New 52 reboot would be a good starting point, just expand on that.

Yes Vandal Savage is awesome!

I wonder how and when they will introduce Lex. I kinda hope it´s the MoS/bat movie because I don´t want him as villain in JL 1 and he must be introduced in or before Mos 2 imo. Maybe we get him in MoS 2 after JL 1. That could work for me. Mos 3 should be about Doomsday or Brainy.

What do you think? And also, wouldn´t Matt Damon be a fitting actor for Lex?

I say go with the Cadmus/government conspiracy angle mixed in with the first three episodes of JL. Martian Manhunter should be a prisoner at first for sure, Lex Luthor and Amanda Waller will be the human villains. Not sure what super powered villain.

I'm speaking as a fan of both Marvel and DC here. I loved Avengers, but I honestly feel after watching Justice League/Unlimited and Young Justice, if WB could somehow mix in that sophisticated, mature storytelling with complex themes into a JL movie (if not the first one), it could become The Dark Knight of ensembles.

White Martians, Crime Syndicate, or Vandal Savage. Darkseid should come in later.

Darkseid should indeed come in later but 61% seem to think otherwise.

Darkseid would be phenomenal if you want to put all your chips in and make the best film you can first.

Bro, I hear ya.

I just feel like his awesomeness is too big for the amount of time he might get in a movie where the heroes themselves need quite the introduction.

I think he is one of the(if not even the) most ultimate villain to have but I rather have them take someone that fits better for the first movie like Ares.

Death of Superman and Doomsday in the first JLA movie.

Doomsday is what brings Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, and Aquaman together. They don't all need to fight Doomsday, they could be saving people, evacuating the city, setting traps for Doomsday.

Batman is a general in the movie, giving orders. Similar to Captain America in The Avengers. Superman and Wonder Woman fight Doomsday fist to fist. Aquaman sends waves at him or Superman gets him on Ocean and Aquaman sends Sharks, Blue Whales, Giant Squid, and Killer Whales at him. Green Lantern uses constructs from the ring on him, also creates rafts and airbags for people falling from buildings. Flash runs circles around him making him dizzy, just to catch a clothesline and be sidelined for part of the fight.

Than in MOS III you could do a "Funeral for a Friend" story with Superman's resurrection by Lex Luthor and STAR LABS.

JLA II should have Brainiac, followed by Darkseid in JLA III. Both of these guys are too powerful for the first JLA movie.

Dudes ! Have you read Johns' JL origin story ?

It's gold.

Got some great Hal and Barry moments. Batman schools GL.

Hal shows how stupidly brave he is, and gets messed up by

Darkseid. Superman's a bit underused, but that's made up for

with Aquaman and Wonder Woman being simply bad-ass.

To sum up, it's awesome, and would lend itself well to a movie adaptation.

Yo Snyder, can you hear me, get Geoff Johns on speed dial, and let's have

JL 2016 please !

There's simply too little content in Geoff Johns Justice League to be adapted into a film. As a basic premise, it's okay.

I agree. Same goes for the JL cartoon's first episode.

However, merging the two wouldn't be a half bad idea.

Have the general premise of a world that is afraid of superheroes from the New 52 story, use the White Martians as the villains based on the JLTAS backstory (minus the floating jellyfish thing, that was fairly silly), swap Martian Manhunter for Cyborg, go with the "no one knows Batman doesn't have powers" angle, keep the fun Hal/Barry moments, mishmash the two Wonder Woman characterizations and backstories, and undo the travesty that is Superman in the Geoff Johns story and we may have a winner!

I think that'd be a nice compromise between the two fan groups that argue that one or the other should be the basis of the JL film. Darkseid is indeed an odd villain to start the series with, but the lineup aside from Cyborg is classic and falls in line with where the comics are right now. Everyone from WB suits to the filmmaking crew, to the fans... well maybe not all of the fans... can find something to love and we can get something moving on this project finally -_-

1st Film : Despero or Staro
2nd Film : Crime Syndicate
3rd Film : Darkseid.

I really want to see Brainiac in a second solo Superman movie along with Kara

Maybe Darkseid for the first JL movie and Vandal Savage and the Legion of Doom + Tower of Babel (Basically Justice League: Doom) for the second film?

My ideal villain layout

Batman vs Superman : Lex Luthor, Metallo, Deathstroke
solo MOS sequel: Lex Luthor and Brainiac
Batman: Mr. Freeze, Penguin
Justice League: Darkseid, Desaad, Kalibak, Parademons, and an appearance from Granny Goodness
Wonder Woman: Ares, Felix Faust, and Hades
Green Lantern: Sinestro
The Flash: Gorilla Grodd

I know some think Darkseid should be left for the 3rd film a la Thanos, but i don't necessarily agree, the JL team is actually powerful enough to fight a threat like that in their first adventure together, and after Darkseid there are other bigger threats to explore too.

But if they decide not to go with Darkseid then Starro could be the villain for the first film.

I'd love Starro for a first villain, but I doubt they'd use it. Even a nod at the end (like Justice League Mortal's ending) would be awesome.

But I also think Starro&Atlantis could work well as an opening act (in medias res) for JL2 (with a twist that the big star shaped kraken thing is actually the one controlling Aquaman, not the other way around). When certain members are compromised as well, it inspires Batman to create failsafes, and we get Tower of Babel (and perhaps The Death of Superman) for the rest of the movie.

I just realized we might get...

2016 Apocalypse
2017 Darkseid
2018 Thanos

Out of the two Darkseid rip offs, Apocalypse is the more original so its no biggy if he gets a movie first but dammit DC get Darkseid out there before Thanos. I will lose it if people start calling Darkseid a Thanos ripoff.

Wasn´t Thanos inspired by Darkseid, I mean in terms of creating the charachter? Or was it the other way around?

Would be pretty cool to have them fight offff planet too :)

Thanos came after, but he wasn't supposed to be a Darkseid rip-off, it was practically accidental.
