Civil War Fly Like An Eagle...err...Falcon! - The Falcon Thread

Dare I say that Falcon's costume might be cooler than Cap's?

dayum Mackie is really rockin that new Falcon look . if it looks this impressive now, imagine how much more it would be when the wings are CG'd in :mnm:

he used to joke about how he didnt like his costume in TWS because it wasnt really a costume. now.... i bet he's regretting how he's frying in that thing under the Hotlanta sun :funny:

Cap's is still awesome. its just the novelty of us finally having a bona fide Falcon suit.

It's a cool costume, but I still think it needs more colour rather than just two stripes of red.

fortunately it's only been mid 80's so far. mostly 60-80 so not too bad. Probably why they're getting this location stuff shot early.

oh man , thought for sure some of you photoshop boys would have photoshopped some red wings on those new photos of Falcon by now

Well speaking of photoshop, I saw this on the book of face:

Someone should tweet this picture to Mackie. I'm sure he'll appreciate this photoshop picture of him being the new Cap.

Heh. Knew someone would end up photoshopping him into Captain America.

The new costume looks great. It looks a hell of a lot better then his first movie "costume". This one actually looks like a superhero costume. The only thing that I would add would be to make his goggles either part of a mask or part of a helmet mask, but I'm fine with the way the new costume looks.

His wings-pack--for lack of a better word--is really different. Looks like they might go a really different route, possibly the hard-light ones?

We saw them in Age of Ultron and they appear to still be the mechanical ones. He probably just got a more advanced model from Stark.

He doesn't need a mask since he probably doesn't have a secret identity.

That never stopped Cap. But yeah I don't see them giving him a mask.

He doesn't have a secret ID in the comics, but he still wears a mask. Also, Cap wears a mask/helmet in the movie and he doesn't have a secret ID.

Because he's a living symbol and he wears a costume to evoke the outfit he wore in WW2.

Comics do a lot of things that are kinda pointless or dumb out of tradition.

I wanted a mask not for protection reasons just because i think it would look bad ass

Especially when it's flying and if it was collapsible. Just a half face mask.

I liked some of the concept art where the had him with a helmet. A retractable mouth guard thing could be cool for when he's in the air.

He doesn't need to wear a mask/helmet with the "costume" in order to evoke the outfit that he wore in WW2.

You mean like super powers, fighting crime, characters who don't have super strength/resistance to injury/super agility leaping off rooftops and swinging from ropes, characters without healing powers getting repeatedly knocked unconscious and not suffering any kind of brain damage, and cold blooded murdering supervillains not getting the death penalty from a court of law.

Yup. The mask in this context is dumber than all that.

In the new promo art, we finally see a good shot of Falcon's Redwing drone.
