Sequels Forget Routh! Bring back Dean Cain!

Wow. The traditional suit looks so much better. I'd never noticed. I hope to god they use the more traditional look in MOS.

in england... that would never be put on prime time in the UK:csad:

In england when Lois and Clark was released (the name was changed to the New Adventures of Superman for some reason), this show WAS prime time. 7pm every Saturday evening.

BTW, Routh is a credible Superman, I think he did a pretty good job... Dean Cain? Hes not tall enough, hes not handsome enough and he cant act enough.

its been on prime time recently on itv2 but thats a second class channel. i remember it being on 6 on BBC2- prime time is from 7 i believe- thats why the soaps are there

i remember lois and clark was Primetime on saturday evenings 7pm, back from 93 to 97.

i used to watch it every week, it was awesome back then

still a good show

although the level of camp is probably the same as the spiderman movies

How so? He was raised as Clark for 25ish years. That would be his primary personality with Superman being an alter ego he uses. Kal-El would just be a name given to him by his folks, a kyrptonian personality wouldn't be imprinted because of that.

The kid from Smallville is the real him. The Clark we see running around Metropolis and Superman are two aspects of his personality.

Bring back...Dean Cain? *shudders*

This is Dean Cain telling Brandon Routh he's gonna kick his ass:

Catman, I can never take anything you say seriously. Anyone who even suggests Dean Cain be Superman again should have his opinion card revoked, burned, torn into shreds, and placed into a rocket and shot into the sun.

Worst. Idea. Evar. Period.

Too much hate coming out of you. :cmad:

Great reading...

But I always liked Cain's Clark, but his Superman was really lacking.
Routh's a good Superman and good goofy Clark, but his Superman needs some changes.

I'll have to agree with venom420 and catman - although I don't think it was fully Dean Cain that made Lois and Clark great, it was producer Deborah Joy LeVine, together with her team of scriptwriters. They always knew how to give just that little bit of oomph, that you had to tune in next week to find out what was going to happen.

Brandon Routh had all the potential in the world - just look at the guy during interviews, he has a presence that screams golden boy. Has a kinda self conscious walk, shy and humble manner, and gentle voice that I'd imagine Supes would have. Routh had only to be himself to have been both a suitable Clark Kent and Superman. I don't really know whose fault it was, but he came off quite different during the film.

Dean Cain in Lois and Clark came off as all that Brandon Routh is in real person. If LeVine had her hands on Brandon, SR might've been a much more memorable piece.

Yes, Cats, Debbie was the best producer on the show. Unforunately, she didn't stick around for the entire series. :(

Oh, ok then. :)

*thinks about bringing back Dean Cain*

*shudders again*

Sorry dude, I did try. :D

Cain probably don't want to play Superman again anyway, Stick with Routh and it's his first movie so I think he'll will be great in SR sequel also he's got some acting chops too.

I wouldn't go this far. His opinion could come back as "Nuclear Opinion." Just roaring all the time and saying things like "destroy Superman, now...IMO!"

If these changes are met for SR-Man of Steel...Cain is not even a conversacion. ...

The bigger S does look pretty good. But just like DF said. Look at the haircut, and the trunks. The colors do help too.

Guys.......

Putting all personal beliefs aside for a moment, Tom Welling looks like he could beat the wholy sh^t out of both Routh and Cain.

I wouldnt have minded welling,but cain???sorry,but no.

i fully agree. Clark kent is an act, superman is a symbol like batman said in batman begins- when you become a symbol you can't be tainted. The farm boy is the real kal- there is no need to act around his mother.i think routh played that side well as well as the bumbling clark kent side.- very few people can become big enough in stature to be superman.i hope martha is in the next movie.

Before Superman Returns was even mentioned as becoming a movie, I was thinking that Chris Klein really looked the part of Superman/Clark.
