Four WW III One Shots, Suicide Squad Announced

Right now, this is just getting a big rolleyes from me. An event huge enough to call World War III, and we have yet to see any mention of it at all? Editorially, it makes sense, since it probably had yet to even be thought of as OYL occured, but story-wise, it makes no sense.

And did both DC and Morrison forget that the DC Universe has already had a World War III?

Lets ask Matt Brady:

yeah - there was a thread about that - it wasn't a "declared" war or it was averted - doesn't count.

It wasn't a declared war? Virtually every country attacked every other country. In fact, although I can't think of a specific instance, I think I've heard of that event referenced as World War III at least once in another comic.

Also, Morrison really doesn't write on 52. Its all a conspiracy.

Apparently not, after that Bulleteer thing. I blame Johns for this.

So do I, since I think him and Rucka are the only ones really writing this damn thing. Either way, a 2 week war is a crappy war.

I don't even think Rucka is writing it. If Morrison, Waid or Rucka had input, it would be even better than it is.

I remember Waid was supposedly in some type of consulting postition, not actually writing, and Rucka ain't doing **** so...

I specifically remember during Joker:Last Laugh, one of President Luthor's General's (might have been Sam Lane) say that he was trying to avert WWIV. So yeah, WWIII actually did happen in the DCU. Besides, shouldn't IC been the thing to change all those characters in the first place? Seems like DC is grasping at straws here.

Maybe with Infinite Crisis and the whole time punching thing, WWIII didn't happen?

You doubt Johnny's greatness?

Yes. Well, looking back, he was the least worst part of that arc.

meh morrison on suicide would've been better

1. an utterly foolish or senseless person.

Are you even aware of the fact that the Suicide Squad as we know it today was basically created by Ostrander?

And in honor of the team's first volume (I so want this as a poster):

To that I give a thumbs-down and a fart noise.

A raspberry, as the kids call them these days. :o

Kids never called them that, adults did. Kids called it owning the hell out of the other person. Back then, it was hard to come back from that.

I have no way to respond, so I'll retaply in the only way I know how:

Thumbs-down and a fart noise.

really?because his batman arc is pretty mediocre, like i said morrison on suicicde would've been better. matter of fact i think greg ruck could do a pretty good job on the book as well.

RE: GAH

Yes, really, you blithering idiot. You haven't even read the Suicide Squad by Ostrander. Heck, I doubt you even know what the Suicide Squad friggin' is. To even insinuate that Morrison could somehow magically do better, is quite frankly, insulting to John. :o
