As I've said many times, it all depends on the individual's pre-existing worldview. People who reject the supernatural are treated much more favorably by secular society, and its not due to their work.

There's always exceptions in this regard, but Bill Cosby hit it right on the head about many blacks perpetuating negative ethnic stereotypes themselves. When a black kid who wants to enter medical school is called a traitor, or accused of "acting white", something's terribly wrong. Its a very sad reality, but the truth is still that most Americans (especially men) currently jailed for violent crimes are black. I hate it too, but not every terrible thing done to someone with dark skin is due to their ethnicity.

1: Folks at the ACLU don't hate Christianity. At all. They just don't think it or any other religion should dominate the culture.

2: The country was not founded on "the inherent value of unborn life." I sincerely doubt that even occurred to the framers.

3: The ACLU isn't anti-personal responsibility. They just don't see personal responsibility and government assistance as being mutually exclusive, because they're actually reasonable.

considering we are about to hit the anniversary of the 2nd deadliest mass shooting in US history and considering that ALL of the terrorist attack on us soil was done by people who were not African American! i would have to say that the statistical information of Black being most violent than any other races is highly debatable!( and i wont even get into that serial killer thing!... or that Christopher Columbus, Pilgrim thing either!)

giving that i have never heard of any black person who wanted to be a doctor, lawyer or CEO of Dell as being a "traitor" that's also up for discussion! ( most of the time it's "oohhhh weee baby! Go ahead with your bad self and get that money!")

and while it's true that i myself have at times have been told "I talked white!"( i will let you in a little secret alot of us do!... we just do that other stuff because some people dont like that " oh so you think you are a smart one" jazz! when you are trying to get a JOB! i also have to add that yeah! alot of black men are jailed for being black,hell we go there for spitting on the sidewalk!( thats not exactly how it worded on the arrest report though! thats why the plantati... oops jail are filled with us and also why we have to watch every move we make, every breath we take!

and while i love Bill Cosby and respect him for what he did during the civil rights movement! Bill can go ^&*( Himself!!having children out of wedlock and alot of things have tarnished his once sparkling image!... i guess as you get older you really stop caring about having a image to live up to and start doing stuff cause you are about to die anyways!

finally i love how people who are not African American have the gall to know what it is like to be one! hahahaha! thats the biggest joke right there other than FOX news!

Just for the record, I never said blacks were an inherently violent ethnic group, or the most extreme in that regard. Such folks exist among every nationality; I was merely stating a fact about the current U.S. prison system.

I do think that some among the black community believe white folks owe them something now, though. That's completely insane, because if I said something similar, those same folks would want to kill me. Yes, my ancestors treated blacks (and other ethnicities) cruelly. I'm curious, how exactly do you change Santa? A memo? A character that's completely based in the cultural consciousness, that no one owns, that's not defined by any one thing or media. It's not like James Bond where they can hire a black actor and then James Bond is black. Santa is always going to be what anyone wants him to be. If you want him to be black, he's black, but that doesn't mean he is to everyone else.

Yes he is traditionally presented as an old white guy, but really does it really matter if he's depicted as another race? I could care less, in fact I say there should be multiple depictions of him because he's a character that crosses all nationalities.

Yeah, that's a false equivalency. Of course it would be unreasonable for a white person to say black people owe them something for what went down in the past because black people didn't enslave white people by the millions and ruin europe.

Also, it's not just about what went down in the past (although that still matters). It's about how what went down in the past left a lasting impact on the social order and social equality to this day, and we're still not done fixing it.

Seeing as the modern day Santa Claus is a mixture of a Greek saint and Odin (based on his involvement in Yule) then I would say that, yes he is very much a white character.

As for Jesus Christ it's far more tricky. He was from Judea which had honestly been heavily integrated with several different racial groups by that time. Hebrew is an Afro-Asiatic language unconnected to Indo-European languages so in terms of language Jesus wasn't Indo-European (purely on culture and language) but that still doesn't tell us much about his race (genetics and appearance).

When it comes to his race it's harder to say. He was probably of a "swarthier" skin tone but genetically still very much "Caucasian" and no that doesn't mean he had to have blonde hair, blue eyes and an aqualine nose.

At the time racial classification was looked at completely differently. Germanic tribes were still seen as lower stock by the Romans despite being the standard of what modern day society would deem as white.

On a purely scientific basis though North Africans and West Asia/Middle Eastern populations would be considered as Semitic whites.

So while she's right I doubt that she knew any of this when making these claims. Maybe the ones about Santa but not the ones about Jesus.

I was talking to a family friend recently who works at Fox News. He's told us the only pundit there who actually believes the stuff he says on the air is Sean Hannity. And no one who works there likes him. Their morning hosts are truly as dumb as they sound, and yes...Glenn Beck was completely an act, he was really nothing like that off-camera. A guy who rides my bus works on Beck's radio show now and says the same thing. In fact, he said they were all pulling for Obama in the last election because it meant they'd have job security.
