All the images and gifs are getting really annoying. They don't help your arguements nearly as much as you think they do.

This is nonsense. The four team members are all present and correct, Sue with her forcefields and invisibility, Thing with his rock body, etc.
No, it will have nothing to do with what happened during production or with the WOM. Those mean nothing to the ordinary people who account for most of a film's audience. Those people don't spend every waking hour on film blogs and forums.
The F4 movie has to appeal to a wide, mainstream audience. Clearly it has to resemble the source material in many ways, but Marvel's own deviations with Mandarin, creation of Ultron, origins of Scarlet Witch/Quicksilver, the powers of Scarlet Witch, show that getting every detail replicated from the comics pages isn't crucial. I hated the changes to Mandarin, the general audience didn't give a flying fig about that.
The only negative I've heard from a casual filmgoer is asking why the F4 are being rebooted - which clearly means the earlier films are remembered more fondly than the fans want to believe. (How cool would it have been if the earlier cast had been in the future of DoFP, though it would never have happened with Chris now playing Captain America and a reboot in the pipeline).
My only worry is that F4 will resemble the earlier film too much with showing the origins of the team + battle with Dr Doom. I hope they bring enough to the table that's new. Not sure the introduction of the Negative Zone will be enough for the GA to be excited.
In my view, F4 doesn't have as rich a mythology as the X-Men and is far more dated and rooted in campy 50s/60s sci-fi, so I'm wondering where they will take the series next. I'm hoping the film works, and works well, so that the new cast can meet the new X-Men cast at some point, with Singer somehow involved.
These characters cross over very easily

Putting an FF team onscreen in which Johnny, Reed and Ben are all the same age is enough to render the Trank version FFINO in my opinion. Your mileage may vary. I don't want to further hijack this crossover fantasy thread, but I'll be available to further discuss Trank's "contemporary reimaginging" on the FF boards.

I have no horse in this race (not really interested in F4, I'll probably still see it as I watch all Marvel movies on the big screen; I missed the first Cap as I was travelling) but if the ages of Johnny, Reed and Ben is "enough to render this film FFINO" then those same changes in X-men (Psylocke, Gambit older than Storm, Scott and Jean; Jubilee the same age as the latter) must earn the movie XMINO?![]()
We're trying to move on to other topics

The Savage Land debuted in X-Men #10 but Kazar/Sabu were a little older does anyone know if they're FoX characters or Disney?
Savage Land could play into a FOX Secret Invasion story if they wanted.

In April 2010, rumors circulated that Marvel was looking to create $2040 million movies based on properties such as Doctor Strange, Ka-Zar, Luke Cage, Dazzler, and Power Pack.[53] Kevin Feige responded by saying, while budgets are generally never discussed early in development, Marvel was considering films for all characters mentioned in the rumor, except Dazzler, whose rights were at Fox.[54]
Does Fox hold the rights of Captain Britain?
A few years ago I'd say Wanda and Pietro were with Fox.
I mean, if Marvel can use the twins because they hold the rights of Avengers, Fox could use Captain Britain because they hold the rights of Excalibur, right? Isn't it the same with Alpha Flight? Couldn't Fox use the non-mutant characters of the team?
Does anybody else know what franchise/characters/teams might be in some sort of limbo between Fox and Marvel?
