Screen Name: Catman_prb
Character you'd like to portray: The Doctor
Superhuman powers, traits, other attributes of interest: The ability to regenerate upon his death. Oh, and the ability to travel in time and space via his TARDIS.
Originally appearing from (which comic, and company?): IDW, back in the 70's.
Fictional history of the character (as you're going to interpret it): The history of the Doctor is as long and complex as a very long and complex thing. The bare bones is that the Doctor ran away from his people, the Time Lords, and 'borrowed' one of their time machines to explore the universe. After numerous exploits, the Doctor's home planet of Galifrey was destroyed in a war with the genocidal Daleks. Much more recently, the Doctor came to the end of his 10th life slightly unhinged, but prevented the end of the universe. Again. He regenerated, picked up Amy Pond soon after arrival and has been exploring since. He now has a bow tie. Bow ties are cool. For any of those watching New Who, im using Flesh and Stone as the cutoff point.
Hero, Villain, or Walking the line?: Hero
List a few reasons why you chose this character: The Doctor has to be one of the most complex and widely used fictional characters in the modern media. This is largely due to script writers writing him in different ways, but I like to think the character has depth. To see him interact with other popular characters would be excellent.
Write two complete sentences explaining what you can bring to this RPG: The Doctor. And a short history on the existance of cheese, but you'll have to pay for that one.
How many days a week you intend on posting in the RPG: As many as I can be bothered to.
Please provide a small sample post as your character, at least three paragraphs and one line of dialogue in length:
"A museum, Doctor? You sure know how to show a girl a good time," Amy called after the Doctor as he strode from the TARDIS.
"Don't knock museums!" the Doctor warned, spinning on his heels with a finger raised "Museums are cool,"
"Museums? Dusty old things owned by dead people that are totally useless, and totally ugly?" Amy scoffed, almost delighted at the reaction she received from the Doctor.
"Museums chronicle everything Amy! This museum, this particular museum, chronicles the first til the last days of Earth. The destruction of the dinosaurs, the Dalek Invasion of Earth, the Peking Homonculus, even the last few seconds of the planet itself, recorded," the Doctor said, looking at the long lines of displays with awe "I missed it the first time,"
Amy still kept an eyebrow raised.
"It all sounds very dull to me," she said, crossing her arms obstinately.
The Doctor gave her an appraising look, then looked vaguely disappointed.
"Yes, I suppose you're right. It's all rather dull to you,"
He walked back towards the TARDIS. Amy rolled her eyes and walked after him.
"Doctor! I didn't mean to offend you! I'm sorry!" she called after him. His head popped out from behind the TARDIS door.
"Excellent - ten more minutes?"
