Frontline 7# Spoilers----Well THAT'S Interesting

this mini throws out the whole "this character doesnt behave like this" arguement. I wouldnt think that Tony would hire murderous supervillains to go after his friends

Tony will and did do that to catch all the anti-registration heroes, the bad guys have behavior chips in their brains, man. It's all gravy....

Well...not now with this secret shadow man offering Osborn the chance to "not be controlled". :wow:

I was just thinking; the mystery person really can't be Spidey as he's supposed to betting his ass handed to him by Tony. I'm assuming the events of this Frontline come after the las issue of Spider-Man.

When I first read the page, my initial thought was that it was J.Jonah Jameson.

Time to stop smoking the weed. :whatever:

I'm leaning towards Pym, myself.

I think that Pym is a good candidate, but isn't the traitor someone they never expected? Pym is far from being a boyscout. Hell they probably got people watching him already.

Jesus, Pym's been perfectly sane and a stand-up guy for decades. A few little encounters between his wife's face and the sole of his boots and a guy gets a reputation he can never live down. :(

i think it SHOULD be an until now unknown player in the game:ninja:

That is a mighty big coat looking thingy...............it's OTTO OCTAVIUS!!

:)

Seriously though,

Big Coat like thingy, Big table for a stretche out arm, I see no hint at a mustache, Very Sinister choice of words though, are there really that many strong beliefs that it's Reed?

:(

i've got no clue as to whom this mystery man is
he doesn't look like anbody in marvel I know about

Yea that scruffy hair doesn't make him very Reed like.

have you read anything involving reed within the past 3 months? he's very scruffy, as of late.

I'll admit it does kind of have a Reed like look, kind of but not so much to say it's him. It may sound stupid, but I looked at that and thought Nick Fury (I know ppl guess him for everything lol). Thing is Norman talks like he easily knows who the guy is, and I'm not sure how many run ins he had with Pym or how Pym would have a more expensive looking set up like that (looks more like a Stark office). Plus you can see the line on the side of the face and under the chin which says whoever is a bit older. Also the hair matches up, anyway just a guess.

Where are people getting this stretching arm argument from? The table's consistently big, sure, but I look at that picture and see only a forearm extending the serum to Osborn in 2 panels. We have no idea what the rest of the guy's body is doing. He could've gotten up and leaned over the table, in which case it'd be perfectly plausible for any normal, full-grown human being to reach Osborn.

it couldn' be tony's longtime friend and former bodyguard/chaufeur HAPPY HOGAN could it?

That's exactly what I've been thinking. I also don't get where people are saying that Osborn knows the guy personally or very well. I threw Pietro as an alternative because it fits with what the person answers when Osborne asks him "What's your poison?". Anger, lack of patience, REVENGE; fits Pietro to a T. The thing is that apparently it's a tech inclined person since he says "I refined the original formula", not "I had the original formula refined". Maybe it's Techno.:p

That might be interesting, especially if he's doing it at Zemo's request. He's got a long history of helping Zemo further his agenda in secret.

Ya I didn't see the arm stretch thing either, but if you meant about me saying he seems to know the guys, I just put that because he says "You have no reason to betray the people you spent a lifetime protecting", which says to me he knows the work of whoever it is. Didn't say he personally knew him, just knew who he was. Plus Nick's well known from his work with shield over the years.

Anyway just a guess, won't be too long until Marvel spoils it, or it 'leaks' at the rate they've been going lol.

So either Reed or Nick Fury are still the favorite choices, eh?

Techno is possible, but could Techno have "pulled strings" for Osborn before? Now while that statement alludes to Reed (or Tony, although it makes little sense for Tony to sabutage his own plan), Nick Fury also was able to make up fake identities for several of the Secret Avengers in CW #2, including jobs. They're using safe houses that he knows about. Fury is rogue but he still has some pull. And if Fury could have given Cap an "Anti-Iron Man Spray" sort of chip in CW #3, then a serum to release Osborn from nano-control wouldn't be a biggie.

Pietro's a nice theory, but I don't see him having the know-how to cobble together a serum like that, nor do I see why he would help Osborn, who isn't a mutant. He seems fixated on only helping to repower mutants of late. I also still am not as eager to call his actions during HOM as outright evil like Marvel is. I wish all bad people wanted to make all our dreams come true and make us happy like Pietro did to get what they wanted. He easily could have had Wanda fashion some post-Apocalyptic slaveword where humans toiled naked in chains breaking rocks and mutants all lived like Kim Jong Il in North Korea. He didn't. But HOM and it's lackings is another story.

I liked the Nick Fury theory. My gut said Reed, but it's been wrong before. I'd probably prefer it to be Fury because Reed already has too many character-assassinating actions in CIVIL WAR without needing to add "aiding a known violent felon" to them. Nick Fury, on the other hand, has done plenty of morally questionable things to "get things done", especially in the last few years when 616's sought to copy Ultimate's version of SHIELD.

Kingpin's a Deal-A-Meal guy and you know it. :cmad:

This has super been bugging me, so I can't wait until we find out who it is!! I'm guessing Pym or Reed.

The dialog seems wrong for Reed. It could be Fury... or even Thin Man...
