There's talk of villians, and MJ & Peter getting married, and all that jazz... but what should happen to Aunt May in future sequels? She should remain as Peter's Personal Voice of Wisdom? Or should more stuff happen to her... eg: have a heart attack, get attacked by other villians, maybe even die? What do you think?

I'd like to see something done in the same fashion as Amazing Spider-Man #33, The Final Chapter. Aunt May is terminally ill and on the verge of death when Curt Connors develops a breakthrough drug that is capable of saving her life. Enter: whoever the next superbaddie on the list happens to be, and Peter gets caught up in the fight of his life and eventually pinned down underneath several tons of rubble, perhaps in the sewer at the hands of the Lizard. And while Connors was able to give him the medicine his aunt needs to survive while in his rational human state, Peter is stuck in an impossible situation with time running out.

Something along those lines. ASM #33 = CLASSIC.

I think her getting ill and simply being on her deathbed would be good enough to cause some inner struggle for Peter. She doesn't need to be captured by Lizard, Kraven, Electro, etc...We now have Gwen to be rustled about by baddies and if the Lizard comes into play, him taking his own family hostage would be good enough for taking people and threatening their lives.

I mean how sad would it be for Aunt May to be on her deathbed talking to Peter and telling him how proud she is of him and that she will soon be back with Uncle Ben. I also think she needs to tell Peter she knew he was Spider-Man on her deathbed too...

Personally, I don't see Gwen & Capt. Stacy returning in Spider-Man 4. Kinda like how John Jameson didn't return in SM3. But that's just me.

I agree about Aunt May. I think getting terminally ill is a good idea. However, I wouldn't want her to reveal to Peter that she knew he was Spider-Man until she actually dies. That's something she should do in her last moments and then tell Peter she's proud of him.

I think Aunt May being on Her death bed would be a good idea because it makes Peter do the righ thing and to never give up such as what spidey said about ASM Issue# 33 (great Issue by the way). Aunt May is ill and Peter can think of Her and realize that if He dies, then Aunt May will have nobody to take care of Her. Aunt May has always been the one to drive Peter to do the right thing. Aunt May should also talk with Peter on Her death bed and have something similar to ASM Issue# 400, where Peter and Aunt May are talking and Aunt May says, "it's my time" which is truly sad. If they put something similar to that on Film it's going to be a sad moment and a great scene. And I agree with chaseter about Aunt May telling Peter she has always known He was Spider-man, but have Her say it on Her death bed, and that would make the scene even more emotional.

They have to keep her around for Adrian Toomes to date her. Or be a mysterious man from her past.

Eh ... I actually wouldn't go for the "she's about to die, but the villain knows how to help her" bit.

That story reminds me of some movie ...
