FX's The Americans

oh man, just give Dylan Baker the Emmy for best guest actor in a drama series,he killed it last night.

Wonder if William revealed more of Philip and Liz off screen and Stan is playing the long game in the end of the episode.

Philip's son coming to the states to find him should be interesting.

Looks like the "centre" is getting what they want afterall. Liz is grooming Paige to her to be like them. While Philip remains defiant.

Id laugh if Philip and Elizabeth go back home to Russia just as Philip's son lands in America

Oh cmon man with that ending!!!

Quantum Uncertainty, either Stan know or he doesn't both are reality until we witness it next year and find out. Sigh

I have a feeling Stan doesn't know.

I liked how the ending conversation could be seen as Philip talking about spying or dealing with boys.

I doubt Stan knows, but my guess is next season he will grow more suspicious as to why Philip wants Paige to stay away from Matthew

Just occurred to me Philips(Misha) is Ramone from Orphan Black

I have to really applaud this show for having a teenage daughter that does dumb things without going over the top like many other shows do. Paige feels way more real than a bunch of other teens. There are times when I hate the choices that she makes, but at the same time it's not written in such a foolish way like Kim Bauer or Dana Brody. This whole season they have done a lot with her character rather than just have her act as a foil for the adults without getting any deeper than that.

I'm on the fence about Stan at the end. He seemed too overly happy when he was telling Philip about Paige and his son, as if to rub it in his face. I know as a parent of both a boy and a girl, there are differences about how we view each gender 'hooking up'; boys get a pat on the back and girls get a stern warning, but it seemed like he was sort of bragging to Philip about his son 'getting it on' with Paige, which to most fathers of that girl, would not really be a high five moment. I conclude from that, that William may have told Stan who they were and this was sort of his way of sticking it to Philip.

On the other side of it, if William didn't actually tell him the names of the two operatives, he definately planted the seeds - calling them the perfect family, and eventually Stan being the smart guy he is, will start putting the pieces together.

I don't know. Just seemed like a father excited at who his son might end up with. He's cool with the parents, so he's cool with their daughter.

I feel like we were also shorted on the situation with Patty.

Got alot of Emmy love this morning.

Very happy for both Matthew and Keri, I'm greedy I know but I would of loved for Alison Wright and Holly Taylor to also have been nominated

I'm so glad that Rhys got a nod as well. :hrt:

All are well deserved nominations. I wish Wright got a supporting nod though. She was spectacular especially this last season.

Matthews nomination was a pleasant surprise I have to admit I thought he would be snubbed for someone like James Spader

Being nominated for best dram series was big shock in itself but both keri and matthew
getting nominated was also great.it also got a writing nomination too.

My uncle just got into this through Amazon Prime, and he's been loving it. Talking to him about it just reiterates to me just how consistently good this show has been over the years. We're four seasons in, and things haven't been all over the place like some other shows.

I thought they've been nominated in the past before.

Well-deserved noms for The Americans. Just binged watch all 4 seasons a day or two before the Emmy noms were released, and I couldn't agree more about the noms. (I've heard how the show was neglected in prior seasons)

Feel like it'll be a three horse race between Rhys, Odenkirk and Malek for male actor and a two horse race with Keri vs TMas for female.

Season 5 will be 13 episodes while the Sixth and Final Season will be 10.
