I just saw it and it was really good. Better than I thougt it was gonna be. I got excited the first time I saw Snake Eyes. For me, it was kinda like seeing Optimus transforms in the alley and the first time we saw Wolverine's claws. t:

Yeah, the movie was dumb as ****. But I did have fun. It wasnt the hunk of **** that people were expecting...but it wasnt the best movie of the summer as some were expecting. Transformers 2 was better. And yes, I love that movie.

Wait, so your saying it was ****, but not a huge pile of **** that people like me are expecting it to be? But your still saying it's ****.

I'm all for watching dumb ****, but couldn't they have remade Superforce or something?

This movie was alot better than I thought it was gonna be too. Like a 7.5 or an 8 for me. But I think Channing Tatum should stop acting.

I too agree that it's better than Wolverine. Wolverine can be entertaining like this movie but is overall garbage when you look at the quality of the films before it. It just amazes you what the X-Men movies became when watching it. This movie on the other hand I can personally give a break since it's the first G.I. Joe movie, so I give it a few more points for being a fun popcorn flick with great action.

I thought it was pretty decent. The acting is a step up from your usual brainless action film though Nichols was pretty bad. The action is slick but way too loud. A great job was done setting up for a sequel.

I've checked out Rotten Tomatoes and it is reall getting savaged to pieces. I don't get these people and why their expectations are so high going into a film like GI Joe.

didn't you know things like joe,masters of the universe and transformers are the Shakespeare of our generation and should all have been multi award winning epics that challenge the fabric of society

suspending belief is fine. But then don't go out of your way to explain every detail, then ignore them later in the film.

Went to see the midnight showing last night. I gotta say, if I didn't know anything about GI Joe, I probably would've liked the movie, it was a pretty decent summer action flick as far as they go. Unfortunately I do know a thing or two about GI Joe, and what I saw on screen was not it. They basically screwed up every character in the movie about as much as they could. Not gonna bother telling you what and why, everyone seems to complain about spoilers and such. Honestly for me it was like 50/50 love hate, so basically it fails in my eyes, the kids should love it though. On the plus side though, Scarlett is smokin'!

This movie sucked. If anyone said this is better than TF2. They are flat out wrong. While TF2 had a lot of bad ****. GI Joe is not exempt from it. The people who loved it and say its a great popcorn flick, yet hate TF2 are hypocrites. FLAT.OUT.

It's a real bad movie.

I think the reason people liked it better than TF2 are these:

1. The humor was less crude. This is an action flick, not American Pie.
2. The pacing was better; i.e. it did not feel draggy at parts.
3. The movie wasn't long enough to begin annoying people. If TF2 was under 2 hours, it'd have fared better in that department. I can't speak for others but I was checking my watch 2/3 through TF2.
