She looks a tad like Morena Baccarin, only without the freakishly long neck. She is undoubtedly a beautiful woman, with the slightly oversized features the camera loves. Everything else is wait-and-see, but theres no doubting her beauty.

Had a few minutes and put this together. Just using a tiara I had used for another manip, darkened up the hair a bit, and did make her eyes slightly blue (yeah, I know)...

That's not bad. It's one of the better blue-eyed manips I've seen. The darker hair looks good.

I want to combine some elements from some of the recent designs I've seen.

That for me is perfect. If they use shoulder straps I like the idea of them being gold in colour.

Definitely agree. Having red is too obvious and looks more noticeably different from the classic costume. The gold is closer to her skin colour and a good compromise.

Adding red straps hardly makes it that much noticeably different from the original design. I don't want them to look invisible. Gold doesn't look bad at all, but the red doesn't make the entire outfit look radically different. I think straps add to the design, look wise.

And I don't get the ''too obvious'' part.

I think it ties in well with the belt and buckles on the booths. The red on the bodice, booths and red star are for me enough. It's a beautiful design. And one I think most fans would be over the moon if it looks like it.

I find the blue straps make it look like... an after thought? I don't know how to properly explain it. But they still don't look bad, either.

The straps are tricky. Sometimes they look out of place, or they aren't subtle enough.

At the same time I think strapless often looks really awkward as well. (I'm not just talking about WW's costume either). It's also one of, if not the, main complaints GAs have about the costume ("How does her top stay up when she's flying around?!")

Sometimes I find it looks more natural with one shoulder guard.

Re: Straps

I'm not a huge fan of the blue straps. It almost makes it look like WW is wearing overalls. Or wearing a bra that's a different colour to her corset.

My favourite straps are those from the Odyssey costume:

But, I don't know if they would translate to a live action costume without looking goofy. I do like that they evoke Wonder Woman's Grecian/Amazonian origins.

I think the standard shoulder straps do look a little better when "thicker" rather than "thin" and when there is also some kind of shoulder armour. That doesn't necessarily mean full shoulder pads, but something somewhat subtle.
