I'm so glad we got Gal instead. She is a fresh face who will not just look like someone else playing as Wonder Woman.

Jamie Alexander had the most people wanting her for the role from what I can remember. I wasn't pushy about it but I was cool with the idea.

I'll give Carano this, out of all the actresses facasted she can really sell the Amazonian body. Then again her acting leaves more to be desired. Not as bad as Ronda Rousey's, but she can play a brute with not to many lines, kinda like what she's doing in Deadpool.

I know, Carano is absolutely dreadful. The FF movies aren't about great acting performances but she still couldn't even cut it. I wouldn't have even given her a chance, I'd just chalk it up to very bad casting.

I haven't seen Jennifer Lawrence doing a poor white woman thing. I think that women at the same level as men in any industry should be paid as much whether they are white or black. Nobody is crying for Jennifer Lawrence or any of these rich actresses but in her field I see where she is coming from.

White or black or whichever race, people think that women who speak up about anything are whining and I don't care for that attitude. I did just read Julie Delpy directly say that she had it harder than black artists when she addressed the Oscar whiteout controversy. I disagree with her 100% of course. To me that is gross white woman whining.

Though I do agree with and am not trying to undercut her overall plight I do feel like she is doing what she's doing for her own gain rather than for anything remotely resembling altruistic. She's not trying to be an activist but more of a self promoter. But even then I don't have any beef with her salary stance, as I said, I support all people doing equal work getting equal pay. My beef with her solely lies in her inability to do the job she was paid to do.

I feel how she manipulated her position in the X-Men films so she wouldn't have to go through the extensive Mystique makeup process. She complained until the writers were forced to make the character Katnis2.0.

So maybe I missworded it but I hope I cleared it up a bit. I see it came across a bit more racial than it should have so yes...

She was dating Cavill at the time so that might have been part of it.

Carano is too short, from her latest promo for Deadpool she also looked far more stockier and her face filled out. This, her apparent poor acting ruled her out. The casting agent was looking for a tall, exotic/foreign (looking) actress. This was probably the reason that Alexander wasn't considered in addition to being type-cast as she was also playing warrior in Thor.

I like that they went with someone almost outside of Hollywood system, an almost unknown.

Gadot is indeed white, just not of Anglo-Saxon variety. lol
