She's a cutie for sure but... Something about Smith rubs me the wrong way.

Why is that? I've always found her positively delightful...kind of reminds me a little of Candice Patton too.

It's maybe projection or immature on my part but... I feel that what she really is, is someone that is like Patton, a mediocre actress that unlike Patton didn't luck out in getting cast in anything of note. She maybe genuinely liked a couple of genre works or comic things but my gut tells me most of that is an act. She may have read or seen a lot of things by now given how long she's been an online personality but I just get the impression that her persona as the "geek girl" is an act. She likely lucked into this gig as the entertainment reporter for fanboy stuff and crash coursed herself into knowing the ins and outs.

That's me though. She could be a true fan, likes children and animals yadda, yadda, but I find the amount of photogenic "geek" online personalities suspect.

Sorry if that sounds harsh. I know it does. My feeling s towards a lot of the online fanboy press is one of too many treating the comic/ sci fi/fantasy thing as a hustle too often.

I can absolutely understand that sentiment because it does happen a lot more often than a lot of people would suspect. I've seen plenty of instances where the supposed "geek girl" ends up proving that it is all just an act by showing they really have no clue what they're talking about/involved in.

While I won't disagree about Smith (and Patton) being a mediocre actress, she does seem to come across as a genuine comic book fan. At least to me, anyway. But I can't deny that there's always the chance you could be 100% right.

I don't get what the controversy was about. What was this about her armpit area being too bright there? How does the lighter skin tone make it that she's clean shaven and the pic on the right doesn't?

Why would shaving one's armpits give you a lighter skin tone there anyway?

It happens when you catch a tan and your underarms were not exposed to sunlight, body hair prevents tanning. When you remove the hair, you get a patch of white skin underneath

Understandable reasons. I'm about equally hyped for both, especially since I missed the first GOTG in theaters and don't want that to happen again. But I can see where you're coming from. If I had to choose only one I'd have likely done the same because, well, it's Wonder Woman.

I'll be that guy, but in the way that's not dickish...

She is a beautiful woman, no doubt... But she doesn't do it for me. World class and stunning as she is... I just don't think of her "that way" at all. The gushing that goes on around here about her looks ect. while I get the reason... For me she barely moves the needle.
