Well, my theory is she *can't* just throw thunderbolts; the lightning at the end of WW was her reflecting/redirecting Ares' power. No idea why she doesn't just do her bracer "thunderclap" though.

I believe that, as crawler and bridge were collapsing, she was trying to recover her sword more because of the sword itself than as a means to kill that parademon. It is Athena's sword with magical properties, after all. It's not likely she'll find another like it.

It sounds like the League members may be "holding back" early on, meaning we will probably get the big power displays later in the film, which makes sense.

Along with at least one big power display from Superman, I would assume.

I guess that Batman's lines on that topic probably come after the first big fight in act 1?

I think the bracelets just absorb attacks and Diana can redirect through her bracelets. Just like how after blocking Ares' lightning with her bracelets she was able to shoot it back at him.

I actually didn't like the look of her headgear and prefer her WW look. But I'm willing to let it grow on me.

Diana did make that "thunderclap" when she was training with Antiope, so I don't think she needs to absorb energy to thunderclap the opponent, so ya she might be holding back, or trying to recover the sword, we'll in November.

That's her in her battle gear. She didn't wear it in WW1 because the battle with Germans happened too quickly. And it fits in with the era their gear comes from.

She does use the 'thunderclap' against Steppenwolf in the trailer, throwing him back. The 'thunderclap' uses her own power to operate. What she did against Ares was use his own power against him, so unless Step uses a powered attack like Ares did, Diana will probably stay at her default power level.

Not my favorite of her civilian looks but she still carries it amazingly. I despise the color brown so the outfit wasn't ever going to be a big hit for me.

No matter the context I do not like the look of her helmet as of right now it is an eye sore to me and Hippolyta looked better in WW than in this film.

Are you talking about the first time she and the rest of the Amazons discover it?
I thought the "thunderclap" in WW was when she absorbs the sword strike from her Aunt. ( can't think of her name).

Only saw the film once so not sure.
