Gal Gadot IS Wonder Woman

I always felt that the connection between all the JL members should be Superman v Zod. I would have just loved each indiv movie have scenes of them and their people reacting to it and that is what brought Diana to Metropolis.

I kind of wish that we would have gotten some insight as to how Diana reacted towards things like Zod's invasion and Superman's arrival on the scene, given how long she's been living among humanity as well.

Hell, I wish we could find out on how she even felt about the whole conflict between Superman and Batman prior to the Doomsday incident.

My guesses: "Damn it, I wish I weren't on a different continent at the time!" and ". . .are these people children?"

:gngl:

Well I don't actually want him to go with Diana as he already has Lois I was just playing devil's advocate I actually agree with Wolf that she shouldn't be with any superhero (and if she is it should be one introduced in a WW movie where he or she would play a recurring supporting character role), regarding aging, just by looking at Zod and his crew and how they barely aged over 33 years would indicate that Kryptonians are a long lived race. additionally if Krypton really is in continuity with the DCEU and 200 years back Kal's grandfather is a young man in his 20's, then this would also support that. In addition to their natural long life span we have no idea how sun empowerment would react with this.

Good point! Not immortal for sure, but certainly a long life-span.

And I'm not advocating Diana has to be with someone. Actually, the Romantic in me wants her to have remained single and alone in honor and remembrance of Steve for the last century. :cwink:

And yes, leaving any future romance for her character should be left for her stand-alone movies. But I can certainly imagine them pushing Bruce to flirt with her. A lot!

I wouldn't really take Zod and co. appearance as confirmation that they live much longer since they were in the Phantom Zone after all. Time moves differently there I would think.

No they weren't, they were freed directly after Krypton's destruction by its destruction, then traveled the stars for 30 years salvaging equipment and looking for the codex and a suitable world to colonize.

I'm interested to see what's going on in this scene

She's in full Diana Prince mode, I'm guessing inspecting the statue and something surprising happens.

I think this scene is linked to her fighting guys in suits in a museum looking building. Where she was doing her job and some thieves bust in to take the priceless artifacts only for her to bust out the sword and shield and kick their asses.

Could it be possible that what we assume are just human criminals of some type are also connected to Apokalips in some way? Classically speaking Earth based agents of Apokalips being a thing is not some out there idea at all, Intergang comes to mind. Could the forces of Apokalips already be active and at work in the world? Perhaps there is an attempt on Diana's life? Steppenwolf trying to take the defenders of Earth out before they've figured out what is going on?

I think we also have to consider that we now have new information to add to the mix. I will spoiler tag it to spare those who've not seen the Wonder Woman solo.

We should note that Diana has a title of "The God Killer". She was created to take on and defeat Ares, the god of war, by Zeus or the Olympians.
In her final battle with Ares she comes off very powerful, more so than even in her tussle with Doomsday where she didn't evince the same powers as in the BvS fight, which I think is due to the "godly" powers of her opponent.
So... What if Diana is a natural born "New God Killer" as well? What if something about her divine nature is a direct threat to the New Gods?
Just a thought. It would tie the two films together and give WW a place of importance in the struggle against Apokalips.

Actually, I could see them, in the end, giving Bruce a happy ending with Diana, who learns to love again after Steve. I honestly wouldn't mind that

Not for me. I think they should keep it as it is, a professional friendship albeit one that will grow stronger over time but remain platonic. What I like from the latest trailer is that Bruce seems to genuinely respect Diana for who she is and for her abilities.

In JL I wonder what exactly her place is in public? I am not sure we can assume her ID is secret. It's one of the things that I appreciated about the DCEU so far. In today's world if someone had the resources and influence and the impetus to do so (a Lex Luthor or an Amanda Waller) finding evidence of a super hero's true identity is more than possible it's probable.

At the end of WONDER WOMAN we see Diana working in the field of antiquities and is taking more of a public role in the world now. In the JL trailers it seems she is under attack at some point. So between the end of BvS and JL is she now totally in the public eye? Is she bothering with the idea of a secret identity? There have been long stretches of the comics since 1987 where she is simply out in the open. Will we get that in JL and a WW sequel?

Further to that point, since for instance, Lex knows BW is Batman, would he share that information with others, or keep it a secret to his own use? In BvS, did Lex share that CK is Supes with KGBeast or did he simply tell him that this old lady is dear to Superman, go kidnap her?

Having his identity known may work for Ironman for instance, but it would not work for Batman and his MO.

I'd very much like to see a BW against muggers who show up to mug him, but he takes them down Batman style. Perhaps in the Batman solo movie.

I'm REALLY curious about how this whole thing is gonna develop, with the whole Lex knowing thing.

Regarding the bolded part, since Lex Luthor firmly believes that "Knowledge is Power" (His speech at the opening ceremony of Metropolis Library), I don't think he will share any kind of information that would mean diluting his power.

In one hand, I believe that Lex is enough of a megalomaniac to hold onto that knowledge to play "the game"; on the other hand, wouldn't you think he'd be pragmatic enough to know how much of a blow for both Clark and Bruce would be to expose them...??

Christ, is there any limit to this woman's beauty?

If he wanted to 'expose' Clark and Bruce, he would have revealed their secret identity to general public, by arranging a press conference and presenting the evidence or by 'leaking' the evidence regarding their secret identity to some media house.

He obviously doesn't want to do that, even when he is in Blackgate prison he keeps their identity information a secret.

True.

Gorgeous.

And why is there all this talk about Batman and Superman and their secret identities in here?

I think this is when those criminals break into the Louvre and she's about to go into butt-kicking mode, suit up and take them out

Very likely. But since she is always wearing the armor, wouldn't that be suit down...:woot:
