We certainly haven't seen that side of Gambit in a long time. Why can't he and Rogue go out together and have a romantic dinner? Instead of them having a falling out before Marvel reapplies continuity to put them back together.

Yeah, maybe if they had some real downtime they wouldn't bicker so much and be unhappy. They look they could use a little fun.

I guess if a comic doesn't have a fight in it they think it won't sell. I don't feel that way. The issues I like best are most often when they show some downtime. That's also why there's fanfiction. They leave it to us to fill in the gaps.

You are right it would be cool to the x-men go out once and a while they are always on missions or the mansion is getting attacked. writers don't realize that why(the fans) want to actually get to know the characters we are reading about

gambit is one of my fave xmen, and i really hate when he's written or portrayed badly. I want to see him in the movies, but only if they're gonna do him right. If they're gonna ruin the character, I'd rather not see him in it.

That's how most of us feel I think. I for one am glad they passed him over, I'd rather have a full part instead of a cameo, just so long as he's in X4!

i read someone writes fanfiction on here. I've probably read a 1000 fanfics and I was wondering what some of yall's favorite ones were with gambit in them.

One of my faves is the Experiment 713 series by Lori McDonald. It's au but it is awesome. If it was a graphic novel or tpb, I'd buy it. I've read it multiple times. You can find it one fanfiction.net

Well, it just so happens that I write fanfiction and I am here. Mine has a lot of Gambit in it plus some of my own characters. I have also illustrated it. Not exactly comic book quality, but not stick figures either.

Fanfiction isn't for everyone and I can understand if some people don't like it. Sometimes it's just not the same without the art which is why I threw a few pictures in mine. There is a lot of good Gambit material out there and there is some bad. Not everyone has the patience to wade through it all and I can understand that.

Yes. My story focuses around my three faves. it's Gambit heavy though as he is my number one guy. It starts out when the three of them get taken away to another planet (hey, why not?) but when they get home there are more X-men in the pictures. I got some Iceman and some Angel in there.
