Yeah, that was a wasted opportunity. That could have been a clever new talent.

It sucks that milligan hasn't used this yet this power had much potential and it would make gambit look good considering his stories have been kind of not good

He's being ignored in favor of others, the drawback to being uin such a large cast. They are working on Polaris now which doesn't do us much good right now. I hope they get back to Gambit at some point and do something fun with him. With all the fanfiction out there, it's obvious there are some good stories yet to be told.

So...anyone think Gambit's lost his powers post HoM? I haven't seen him pull out a card in the last 3 issues. According to CBR he's also a candidate to be one of the new 4 horsemen when Apocalypse makes his return next year...

Well, his name isn't Staffboy, it's Gambit. So i for one think that the cards are way more important to his persona then the staff. That and his eyes. The cards because his name is Gambit, and the eyes because they are just way cool.
I for one don't think he lost his powers, but even if he did, Gambit is an interesting character all on his own. Most of the time I even forget he has powers, since he reliez heavily on his other skills, namely charm and fighting. He's not just a mutant that happens to be a thief.
He's a theif that happens to be a mutant.

I agree. I would love him kinetic energy or no. He's just a cool guy to watch moving around in the world.

Too bad the x-men's line up is full right now with the What Lorna Saw storyline and the apocalypse one that together is about 6 to 7 issues right there before we can see anything happen to Gambit unless something major happens to him in the apocalypse storyline.

Mystique is still bent on breaking them up, Gambit and Rogue I mean, which in my opinion is a story arc that can very well wait!

Yeah, I was disappointed that the beloved Gambit didn't even have an appearance at all in that last X-men issue. *pouts* I hope he shows up in the next one at least.

I would be curious what the writers have in mind, if anything, about Rogue and Remy splitting up. I'm not so sure that Gambit would give it up without a fight. Rogue? Meh. She's a bit flighty. I don't know what she would do.

Gambit would be ok but Rogue has been handled so badly lately, that I feel they would take this oportunity to make her even more insecure. And it's a shame because she used to have a great personality, a real sassy girl.
