Ive got a better idea. How about they give us a full 10 episode season 7 and a 10 episode season 8.:o

Seriously tho why the hell wouldnt they just do a full season 7 and a short season 8? Why should season 7 get shortchanged? Dont get cheap on us now.

If they do this split final season thing and thats all this really is I hope they have the decency to not make us wait as long between season 6 and season 7 and season 8. I dont want to wait a year for 7 episodes and then another year for the final 6. Production shouldnt take as long on shorter seasons so they should be able to get them released quicker.

Ill take all the spoilers I can get, thank you very much.:o

Every season should have been 8 episodes to begin with... season 1 and 3 would be the only exceptions (if at all) IMO...

I doubt HBO will go along with them doing two shorter seasons like that lol, too much money... unless they are planning to make a mini series with like 3-4 2 hour episodes after the shortened season 8 (or even 2 movies?)

The only reason they'd do this, is because Bienoff and Wiess only want to do one more season, but HBO convinces them to do a few more episodes. But I'd hate this. Make two more seasons or not.

This could've been avoided if they'd given me the Griffs.

George read a second Arianne chapter at something called Miscon/Myscon - highlights are that Jon Connington is a Randyl Tarly/Stannis Baratheon type when it comes to military matters and troop discipline. An army from King's Landing has been sent south to meet the Golden Company.

Season 2 was barely decent because the tried to cram a 900 page book into ten episodes with much less success than season 1. Season 2 would have been a total mess if theyd only had 8 episodes. The show needed 13 episode seasons. The only reasons it is 10 per season is because D&D supposedly planned for 10 episode seasons, production time would be too long, and the show would have been cost prohibitive. Ten episodes per season was a good compromise.

10 episodes was always fine imo. The two problems has been them making "shorter" episodes, and some of the random stuff they have decided to tell. They have lacked that laser focus a lot of the time.

Could never get it to work right

This could have all been avoided if they cut down most of season 2 because it was basically a season of dany ******** and boring as episodes... and season 5 should hardly exists.. boom an easy 7 seasons and done lol

See my response to victarion... season 2 was boring as **** thats why it sucked. they really loved the response to Dany and really shoved her up our asses.

and i hate you. so im going to disagree with you. so now we get to have a very public rivalry where i kidnap your mother.

The Dany storyline definitely did not need to stretch out as much as it did in Season 2.

muthaaa of dragonssss KARTH... NO *****

YOU SILLY ****! ITS QAHTH QA^HTH

QA^ ... ****e.

the 13 definitely had a penchant for buggery

Season 2 is rather boring, I agree on that. But I also think it was their choice of what to cover, as opposed to the length. Keeping Dany's story short, while spending the time with other characters would have been far better. How they decided to handle Jon's storyline was a good example of wasting potential imo. And this was throughout season 2 and 3. We should have spent a lot more time with him.

season 2 should have had Jon meet mance earlier on rather than the S3 premiere. could have done more with stannis... i really liked tywin in every scene especially his war councils with Arya.

I agree completely with this. The stuff with Twyin and Arya were great additions, and we really could have done with Jon meeting Mance before the end of season 2 and more character work for Stannis. Though considering how much they disliked Stannis, I am not sure that would have been a good idea. :funny:

they hated stannis yet he was one of the major parts of arguably their best episode lol ****ing idiots.

I don't know if I would have liked Arya with Roose more or not given how great she was with Tywin.

Not to mention their handling of the Dragonstone arc in seasons 3/4. They really fumbled that entire storyline and as a result it did a disservice not only to the characters, but made for some dull television that wasted some really talented actors.

...At least we get to see Dillane on The Tunnel :o

I missed Lord Twyin's monsters. A colorful band of miscreants if ever there was one. As for the Dornish plot - you could probably have done Arianne's plot with about the same amount of time as we got for Ellaria's revenge.

@Marvolo - you sure that isn't a horn? It looks too thick to be a bow or a spear.

There hasn't really been any set up for the Horn in the show. If it was going to be a thing I'd imagine they would of had it set up in Season 4 when Mance and Jon were speaking in episode 10.

The only horn we have seen is the one Sam dug out of the snow in that night's watch cloak... MAYBE THATS THE MAGICAL HORN AS ITS THE ONLY ONE ON EARTH

Sam breaks the wall... like Jericho
