According to a fan who went to a con this weekend, John Barrowman revealed that he was offered the role of Oberyn Martell but wasnt able to take it.

I was totally happy with what we got for Oberyn, but that sucks for him.

Yeah, I can't really see it. And Pedro was pretty much perfect. I can't even think of a way he could have improved his performance.

Yeah, I like Barrowman and all, but Pascal IS Oberyn. I can't see any other actor being better in the role.

Thanks to Sky Germany (via Spoiler TV), we now have the titles of the final three episodes of Game of Thrones season 6, and even without accompanying synopses they are quite revealing indeed.

6.08 - Niemand (No One)

There have been tons of leaks this season. I would blame most of it on the White House since they were given all the episodes early.

Keep in mind those are translations. The actual english title is likely going to be either The Battle of the Bastards or The Battle of Winterfell. I'd be fine with either.

Taking Jon's word... as well as others... Stannis believed it, too... Given Melisandre's power, Davos and Stannis prob used common sense and bought into it.

I'll say this... the soundtrack this season has been pretty awesome... Theon and Sansa running from the hounds... the slighty revamped Winterfell music, Aryas music when she is getting Needle back, Dany's revamped theme...

Curious... Why do they recast SO many actors on this show? The most recent recast was the Night King, which I suppose isn't a big deal; the character has yet to have any dialogue and he's wearing a ton of makeup. But it's weird how often they just give actors the shaft on GoT. The Mountain, 3ER, Daario... If I was an actor on GoT, I'd be really worried about my job security,
