Maybe O/T but who do you think has had the best career since the series began? Like with other tv series or major films? whose career do you think will continue to rise once the show has ended?

Hmmm...

A lot of the actors like Kit Harington, Richard Madden, NCW and Emilia Clarke are working pretty regularly, though none of them have been in any big hits that have really allowed them to emerge from the shadow of GoT. Peter Dinklage, Charles Dance and a lot of the older actors already had pretty prominent careers before the show, though Dinklage's star has certainly risen because of it and he did land the role of the villain in X-Men: DOFP, which many regard to be among the best films in that series. So I guess I'd say him?

Emilia is in the Han Solo spinoff movie. So we'll see soon enough how that goes for her.

Sophie Turner also got the role of Jean Grey.

Madden was in Cinderella at least.

That's a bit like asking the same about the MCU actors. It is hard to pin down what is incidental and what they owe to being on the show.

I think Sophie, Kit, Maisie, Emilia and Dinklage's careers will continue to rise after the show.

To be fair, none are box office hits. I imagine Maisie will continue to get good work. Dinklage for sure is highly respected. I believe he has also another HBO series he is due to start once GOT finishes.

I didn't really think much of Sophie or Emilia in their box office debuts. Same with Kit in that Silent Hill sequel and Pompeii. Dreadful.

I wanna see Maisie in like an X-men movie or somethng in the MCU...Girl's a little badass.

She's playing Wolfsbane in New Mutants.

Her Netflix movie, IBOY, was actually enjoyable.. and pretty damn dark.

I imagine being committed to GoT limits their options some. And you're right, none of their non-GoT projects were hits, but they were probably offered because of GoT, which I thought was part of the question.

Yeah, will be interesting to see how things work out when GOT finished and they have a clearer schedule.

thats cool as hell! I just looked up the character she's perfect for it too! I love the X-Men universe, the GOT has a lot of actors that would be perfect in that universe.

I forgot she'd been cast as Wolfsbane and that is a great role for her. The X-guys did a nice raid taking on both Stark sisters.

You're right. I'm amazed that Kit or Emilia would take Pompeii or Terminator but as somewhat unknown actors who got a hit with GoT, I'm sure they wanted to get $$$ and try to expand their audience.

I'm surprised we have not seen Nikolaj in more films. Only that flick he did with Cameron Diaz and the dreadful Gods of Egypt.

Do you find all the callbacks cool or cheesy/fanficy?

Like characters saying things they were never there for?

The spread of news and who knows what etc etc

given the limited episodes, 'time' stopped mattering... even with 10 episodes, ravens are Amazon Prime.

Some callbacks are corny, some are cool... like IMO, Jon and Ned both grabbing Littlefinger and reminding everyone what a ***** he really is.

The one I liked the most was "All dwarves are bastard's in their father's eyes"

But Cersei knowing all those details of Danny in Esso or Danny wishing she could remenber her birth on Dragonstone were kinda meh

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau career outside of Scandinavia has never been particularly successful. Game of Thrones is anomaly in his career. He has had small supporting roles in Hollywood films like Black Hawk Down, Kingdom of Heaven, Oblivion and a couple of failed lead TV shows for Fox (New Amsterdam & Virtuality).

Coster-Waldau has said he isn't good at auditioning.

That's a shame. He's one of the GoT guys I'd most like to see more of.

I just heard that in the vision Bran has of the Night's King's army the army is walking on grass. Implying that Bran had a vision of the future and that in the vision the army is south of the Wall. Did anyone else see the grass? I haven't went and watched the scene again to check.

the one at the beginning of the premiere? with the giants? meh its so grey its hard to tell what they are walking on... I think that vision was just to show us they have giants lol

I don't recall seeing any grass, but then again I didn't really look. If it is supposed to be a vision of the future then it doesn't really tease the audience with much that they didn't already know. White Walkers are coming one way or another.

I wish they would let cersei's hair grow. It used to be so beautiful when it was longer.
