it's too easy to use really lol, and this is coming from someone who has never been a fan of the shotty in Gears. At least with the Gnasher you have a chance.

I got a buddy code from someone 3 days ago and I already unlocked Cole Train, and I need about 20 more matches before I can get the gold retro lancer. Then after the 100 kills I can finally stop playing.

I wanna unlock the regular Cole but arrGghhH KOTH takes foooreever they should bump the count down to 100-120 if they're gonna make it 2 rounds.

I played way more then I wanted last night to unlock the Golden Retro Lancer. I'm trying to hurry an unlock it before the Beta ends tomorrow, I'm already at 45 kills so all I need is 55 more.

I got the 100th kill in the first round of a CTL match... I was gonna finish it but the team I was with were absolutely horrible. So. I quit.

There was a match where almost everybody quit, so it was just me and some other guy with the rest being AI. It was great, I got like 10 easy kills before people started joining.

Wait, what? If someone quits and no one replaces him an AI takes over?



BTW, HOD absolutely pwns on Trenches. I camped my butt of in the area where the Oneshot spawns just taking the Hammer everytime it spawned. Kept getting triples and doubles.

I'm pretty sure if it says the name of whatever character model it is with a * by it on the scoreboard then it's AI. They're pretty good, I've seen them get kills and stuff but their reaction time is still not the greatest; Which meant easy kills.

and yea, I love the oneshot spawn. I roadied up behind 2 guys who were racing to it and took them both out with 1 sawed off blast lmao.

The nice thing about the bots is that they will go out of their way to revive you if you're down.

I'm pretty sure it's just a reminder to not delete the beta from your HD so you can transfer the bonuses.

Agreed 100%, at first I thought it would be interesting but I quickly realized how bad a move it was.

I think Hammer or Dawn and Mortar isnt good on any maps. It ruins gameplay

I think they're fine as long as there are limits. I think Mortar is fine on Thrashball for instance because you can hear it coming and try and avoid it, then you know where they are when you hear it so you can generally go up and take them it. It's so clunky and slow if someone springs on you when you're still holding it, you're defenceless. I think thats a good balance.

I got Thrashball Cole just before the beta ended.

But sadly, yesterday I realized that I actually liked the Retro lancer, so I couldn't get the gold one.

The Limited Edition bonuses seem sorta lame, so I'll just buy the regular edition.

I busted my ass to get that Golden Retro Lancer. I'll probably never use it but I just wanted to get it. I'll wait till I see the items in the collectors edition before I make my mind up on what version to get.

Now with the beta over now I can look forward to L.A. Noire tonight and then eventually get back to replaying Gears 1 and 2 before Gears 3 comes.

Yes I agree, although I wont be able to go into Gears 1 or 2 multiplayer anymore it just won't be the same. I read somewhere or maybe I just heard it, I don't remember but I heard that they might put a tunnel in Trenches that goes underneathe the map from one end to the other.
