Something about those Rey saber shots seem... off... like they are in reverse or sped up, but I can't put a finger on it.

Yes, Rey's shot is definitely reversed.

Every single shot of the lightsabers so far has made me chuckle....looks like a fan vid. Not sure what they are doing wrong, but the lightsaber effects were great in TFA.

I want to see a great saber battle this movie. TFA didn't have 2 skilled Jedi to go at it, but I hope this film delivers. Either with Kylo and Rey, or Luke and Kylo.

I'm guessing in this one Luke's daughter is defeated.
Ending with Luke finally re-"awakening" to end the movie.
And Luke's final big battle (and uhm sacrifice) saved for IX.

I think there will be an "oh s**t!" moment for Luke like there was for Rey when she grabbed Luke's lightsaber in TFA. He's going to swoop in at the last second and crack some skulls.

Every single shot of the lightsabers so far has made me chuckle....looks like a fan vid. Not sure what they are doing wrong, but the lightsaber effects were great in TFA.

I actually had someone say this to me after the October trailer was released! I agree, the lightsabers looked very vibrant and spectacular in TFA, but here they look muted and bland. Luke's old blue lightsaber barely even looks blue, it looks white. It almost looks like they might be using a practical prop without enhancing it digitally, but we probably won't know for sure until we see more behind-the-scenes on the DVD.

Not to complain too much, but I feel like the effects in this movie aren't looking as good as they should (judging by what we've seen so far). That shot of the Falcon in the rain at the beginning of this TV spot looks a bit like a video game, also that shot of BB-8 in the back of Poe's X-wing (when he gets shocked with electricity) from the main trailer. Something about the lighting and texturing in those clips looks off to me. I'm an art and computer graphics student, so maybe it's just more noticeable to me.

There has definitely been a step down from TFA in effects. Lots of noticable greenscreen and things that look really fake (the first shot of the new AT-ATs made my jaw drop...in a bad way. Looked like a something out of Rebels.)

Yessir. I actually like and enjoy TPM and ROTS. But AOTC doesn't really feature many things that I enjoy, that's usually just kind of on in the background for me haha. But yes I'll watch everything PT, Rogue One, OT, Force Awakens
