I think the idea of the story moving into a "post-prophecy" space is very intriguing, but I do hope that's at least explored to a degree. I don't think just pretending there never was a prophecy is the right way to go. Going by Disney's new rules, Clone Wars is canon, so it's definitely a canon thing and not just a prequel thing.

It has to be addressed one way or another. Whether the prophecy or true or not I don't really care too much one way or the other, but the implication of either scenario is very interesting.

I just want them to delve in the concept of the Force. I don't care about the Prophecy at all.

Critically acclaimed Science Fiction anthology series Black Mirror is now up on Netflix including Domhnall Gleeson episode Be Right Back.

Well yeah, it's more just that. We're led to believe The Force was left in some sort of state of equilibrium in RotJ, and now an awakening of some sort is happening. So one way or another it would seem that The Force is front and center in the story.

I don't mean the prophecy needs to be directly addressed, it's more just that whatever we learn in this movie will change the context of what we thought we knew in some fashion.

I don't wish to throw gas on the fire, but Lucas himself has said the prophecy has been fulfilled, Anakin was the chosen one & this current discussion is a moot point...The Force Awakens likely means its a New Age of the Force Beginning with Episode 7....

I'm curious as to who prophesied said prophecy and where did this individual/s come from?

That's never explained in the films. It would be neat if it was just a Sith manufactured "legend" to weed a out a really powerful force user right underneath the nose of the Jedi.

That would be interesting craig. Man I am so excited for this film. I've been playing Dragon Age III and Bioware is back to their old school awesome game making. I can't wait to see their untitled SW game now.

Or The Force Awakens is Luke coming back out into the public eye & since hes a powerful mofo the bad guys sense him

One Rumored Spoiler says the films early scenes depict a great tremor in the Force that leads those who were previously unaware of their abilities to feel & sense the power of the force for the first time...this has as much to do with putting the story in motion as anything else. And it could mean a reemergence of Sith & Jedi alike....thus the, "Have you felt it???" line from the trailer! Has been mentioned of late but several months ago a report suggesting that the spirits of Jedi & Sith alike that have long left the mortal coil would make appearances...so what if the voice, is one of them...Darth Bane/Plaugeis/Revan...take your pick!

This definitely makes me think the Force is fully conscious or that it at least reacts like a living organism. The empire wiped the Jedi out and the Force is reacting like an immune system thats under attack trying to swell the ranks and the Force Users it lost. Its sent this tremor out and awakened the abilities of force users just like an immune system will rebuild and increase white blood cell production when a destructive organism attacks the body.

I told you it was awesome. Glad to hear it.

By the way,
P.M. me if you want to discuss in game decisions and the like. I'm currently stalled trying to figure whether to go with the Mages or Templars. Want to romance Cassandra and supporting the Templars would go a long way, but the story leans towards a Mage alliance.

Ya when I get a little farther I will contact you. But it is good, I've been in love with BioWare since Baldur's Gate, and this is the first RPG since BG, and KOTOR (and Neverwinter Nights) where I got sucked in. I like the first Mass Effect, and ME2 and 3 were really good, but just not the BioWare style I love. The first DA was good, but this is even better.

It really does get me excited for the new SW. Mainly because it will be Next Gen only and look amazing I'm sure.

My new PC will be ready in 2 weeks. It'll be the 1st game I play on it, DA3.

So, the galaxy is a giant midichlorian? :oldrazz:

It does make me wonder if Lucas was using any of the Mortis stuff in his outline for the new trilogy.

"uncle Owen" seemed to enjoyed the trailer aswell

Think the magic in GoT. ThE force is reacting to the return of Jedi and Sith the same way magic has reacted to the return of Dragons and the White Walkers. Becoming more prevalent, stronger.

Yeah. The GoT analogy is good. Plus it looks like a Sith was dropped over the Wall with that sithcalibur saber.

Look at Obi-Wan's eyes there for a second. "Is he seriously just waving that dangerous ****ing thing around?"
