Gerard Butler Returning for 'London Has Fallen'

Who is this MI6 agent who rightly trusts no one? Jackie Earl Hayley? Or someone else? Is it a man or a woman?

I'm guessing the MI6 agent is Charlotte Riley, I figure they need a strong actiony female character for the sequel.

JEH might be playing the main villain. I could see that.

Why's she/he a MI6 agent, shouldn't they be MI5 agents?

Well it could be that an MI6 agent just happens to be attending the funeral, not that an MI6 agent is officially assigned to the case. Gerard Butler's character wasn't assigned to the protection detail of the president in the last film when the attack on the Whitehouse occurred. That's the only way that MI6 might be involved.

After all, in "The World is Not Enough", when the MI6 building was blown up, James Bond didn't refuse to chase the cigar woman and say "This is MI5's job since we're on home soil" :o

He should have damn it! MI6 don't have jurisdiction on home oil. :argh:

"As much as I'd like to go on a rogue worldwide spyhunt, I have to respect the division of powers in British intelligence and law enforcement."

a Michael Apted film

The most likely reason is "MI6 is much more well-known to the GA, so who cares if it technically doesn't make sense." Technically MI5 should have been the ones hunting Silva once he hit British soil in Skyfall, but they weren't even mentioned in the movie.

But then he would be allowed if it were worldwide. :o

FYI guys, they're only filming the Jason Bourne Control Room stuff with Morgan Freeman etc now. The Gerard Butler/main action stuff films next year.

I guess they are waiting for Tom Cruise Mission Impossible mob to clear out of London before they roll in ;)

The government agents in these movies that trust no one are normally involved in the incident of these movies arent they ?

Yeah, but they're the only hope we've got! :csad:

I finally saw the first one a couple months ago. It was seriously one of the worst action movies I've ever seen. I think White House Down was better, and that movie was terrible. I can't believe they are making a sequel.

Well, I can think of a game you can play with this sequel, where you go first. :woot: (I kid, I kid.)

LOL, hey to each his own. I tend to enjoy mindless action flicks, but this one really failed for me.

I think the first one had THE WORST CGI I've ever seen in a major release. The Washington Monument was so fake looking with the overly green grass. omg.

It's so bad that's it's good. it's just sad.

Between that script and Millenium Films in house effects team, I think Fuqua knew what he had to work with and just trolled the hell out of the film. The film is just too belligerently stupid to come from the guy who made Shooter and The Equalizer.

Well they had to cut corners in order to beat Emmerich's film in release date.

Yeah, it was a fun ass movie. Hopefully (but doubtful at the same time) that this sequel will be as good as the first.

Do you watch Banshee? The guy directing did a few episodes, it's a great show.
