Gerard Butler Returning for 'London Has Fallen'

That TV Spot sold it for me. I'll be seeing this!

I feel like this movie is not going to go over well with the critics at all but it'll be one of those "You either hate or love this type of movie" kind of thing. As a HUGE fan of the first one, I feel like I'm going to love the s*** out of this movie.

This movies coming out tomorrow, how are there no reviews for it yet?

Review embargoes that wait this long does not sound good for any film.

I thought it comes out Friday.

And besides, and this is not a "Screw the critics they can't have fun, etc." type thing, but Olympus Has Fallen doesnt have a great RT score either. Im not concerned with the RT score with this that much

Yeah i agree with you there, Olympus Has Fallen was dumb fun to me at best.

Pounds have Fallen!:woot:
Today they're marking the release of London Has Fallen with a crazy promotional stunt. The biggest cinema chain in the country (Pathé) will be showing the movie one day early (March 2). In one of their cinemas they will be dumping a load of british pounds from the ceiling for ticket goers!

I'm genuinely shocked that Indiewire gave this a B-. Thought they would s*** all over it, haha.

Listening to the Double Toasted review....I really hope this movie fails harder than Gods of Egypt.

Currently 19% on RT. Ain't Butler's month, is it?

Critics Consensus: London Has Fallen traps a talented cast -- and all who dare to see it -- in a mid-1990s basic-cable nightmare of a film loaded with xenophobia and threadbare action-thriller clichés.

My question is how are people who enjoyed the first one feel about this. Because if a majority of the fans of the first one don't like this then that would worry me more

I just got back from the movie, really appreciated the first one.

It sucks for the most part. Ugly, boring.

Anyone get a kick at how the logo has the American flag in the background of a movie called London Has Fallen? :funny:

It just doesn't have the charm of the first one. The one-liners fall flat, the action is drab (except for one really cool scene toward the end) and the CGI is terrible.

Speaking of the American flag, there is a really weird political message at the end. It kinda goes overboard with the "USA! USA!" shtick by going into real life issues.

It's jingoistic as f*** from everything i've read or listened.

I was going to check it out tomorrow but I guess I'll watch Zootopia instead.

Yup.

One funny thing: at one point Morgan Freeman bombs a safe-house in Pakistan. Someone in the background says "no innocents in the vicinity. missile is a go". When the building blows up, you CLEARLY see innocent men and women flying around.

So a low brow action movie sequel getting political and telling audiences what to think. Kay.

Yup.

This made me :funny:

Pretty much this.

It's politics are also very confusing and murky. The first film generally avoided taking a firm stance on political stuff, but this time they try to express in all these haphazard ways.

I want to know Mike Banning's position on China's currency peg with the US dollar.

He'd probably make a racist remark about the Chinese based on how he talks in this film.
