I think from that poster they relseased, Is it just me or does the skull look purposely fake. Like a mask, or a helmet. And if you look in the flames, towards the bottom jaw up. Looks like it curves up and around the temple, but in a mask type face plate way. I wonder if this is the helmet from the comics, just with a classic GR face???
If so it's an awesome blending of old and new, I'm actually going to watch this season to see how GR turns out...

The skull is definitely stylized, it's not like the first GR film where they just modeled a human skull. It does give this version it's own personality. It might be a helmet, though that's not as cool in my opinion, but I wouldn't be surprised if the actor is wearing a mask to make the cgi effects easier. Definitely would be a cost effective way to do the effects.

Really liking the horror tone they are taking with Ghost Rider. The mention of ripped out spines, the truck trailer covered in blood...Seems VERY nasty. Now that's what I wanted from the character.

maybe that's why ABC pushed it into the 10pm slot, because of the darker tone that Ghost Rider is showing this season.

I'd rather have Johnny Blaze than Robbie Reyes if the only Ghost Rider we're going to get is on the small screen now. He would be the one I'd want to follow on Netflix and riding a motorcycle, not driving a car.

Yeah Robbie is going to have a tough time at it against the not very embracing Johnny fans. Plus it looks like they are borrowing heavy from both Johnny and Daniel concepts, for a somewhat amalgam, which won't sit well with some.

Still Robbie right now is the main GR vehicle on TV and he's getting some good buzz, if they can spin that off to connect into a Netflix Marvel Knights crossover team-up, that would be great!

And if that connects, potentially into his own! Where they could retroactively introduce all the other Riders for it's own show!

Yeah, I love both for different reasons, but yeah, Blaze is technically the first.

He came first, yes, but it wasn't his version that turned the character into a 90s icon. I'm pretty sure Ketch has more issues, and more appearances, than all the other incarnations combined, by a not-small margin.

I actually like Johnny and Danny together. They are half-brothers and I always enjoyed when they teamed up in the comics. I always thought it would be cool if they went the Supernatural Tv show route and had them together riding around fighting supernatural threats. Either both of them could be Ghost Rider like the heaven's on fire mini run or have Blaze be a former Ghost Rider with his hellfire shotgun and Danny as ghost rider like in the nineties spirit of vengeance comics.
