Do any of you think the female busters should be dresses like this lol

This actually raises an interesting question...

What WOULD the new team wear? Tactical clothing has come a long way since 1984.

Basically what do exterminators/firefighters wear? It wouldn't be too outlandish.

I think we all have to keep in mind that Ghosbusters is a comedy, not an action-comedy, but a comedy-comedy. Part of the humour came from the fact that these guys, despite all their knowledge and advanced technology, are basically seen as exterminators or plumbers, hence the uniforms they wore.

Dressing them up like they're SHIELD agents would take away a lot of that charm. Unless the plot called for an elite ghost-fighting force (a satire of Resident Evil maybe) suddenly proving to be useless when confronted with real danger, and must rely on the schlubs they used to look down on to rescue them.

There's no need to redesign their uniforms really. At most, just use better materials, but I don't think they even need to do that.

They're not going the Xtreme Ghostbusters route, and even then what they wore wasn't varied much from the originals.

Exactly. Though I gotta say, I would love easter eggs to some ghosts from the Xtreme Ghostbusters show.

They certainly don't need to do anything crazy, but I think it's impractical to think that they'd just not update the uniforms for the new team. By the time this film hits theaters (IF it does, I suppose), it'll have been 30 years since the original. You can't go out there in duds that were meant to look behind the curve three decades ago.

Plus I'd imagine that the studio would want to give the new team it's own look, even the "updates" are minor. That could be anything from a different color scheme to a few small cosmetic tweaks.

I agree there really is not need for any major changes in uniform just some nasic upgrades.

Its there equipment I'd be looking forward to see an update for.

What ever the uniforms look like, I hope they go back to the original ghost logo and don't do some updated crap like in part 2 where the ghost is holding up two fingers - yet another problem with GB2...

Well in the 2nd one, that ghost holding up two fingers was only in the title. The logo stayed the same in the movie on everything else.

Last time I checked, garbagemen, plumbers, exterminators, crossing guards and car mechanics are still basically wearing the same style of uniform than they were 30 years ago, so it wouldn't be such a strange thing to see the Ghostbusters wearing the same thing.

Maybe one of them should have a red cape and beer hat, but that's as far as I'll go. :woot:

They don't need to wear spandex or rubber or lycra. They won't be in that good of shape, unless they cast somebody that's one of those funny yet hot types.

Are we for seeing the Ghostbusters travel to other dimensions and instead of staying on Earth bound spooks?

Who ever said allison s from wh 13 the other page god I would love her in gb I definately could see her as a buster. As cool as other locales would be nyc, the car, and hq are all key parts and characters themselfs of gb world.
:raises hand:

I fell in love with her the fist time she appeared on WH13. She was also good as half of the Wonder Twins on Smallville

She's also my first choice for Cassie Hack

I've always been against the dimension hopping, though I know Aykroyd has always been interested in the concept.

Didn't the sign on the firehouse adopt the two-finger ghost?

Think you need to watch it again, their suits and the sign on the building both had the peace sign ghost.

In the game there is an easter egg, if you go to the back of the building you can see the peace-sign ghost from outside the building in storage :D

exactly....!

I just REALLY hope that they dont have a handicapped person on the team.

X-Treme Ghostbusters was like the "X-tremely PC Ghostbusters" Black guy, Mexican, Female and Handicapped Guy lol

It just doesnt make since strategically to have a guy who cant walk be a Ghostbuster.

You could say that about anything though. These dudes are in the Olympics and what not, so it's not that far fetched.

How about the equipment; does anyone think they should update the proton packs, ghost traps, PKE meters, etc.?

I've already stated that my wish is that they have to catch a ghost thats to large for their traditional equipment.

Requiring them to include the fire truck/proton cannon and garbage truck/ghost trap conversions that appeared in the cartoon. I think it would be something new and interesting.

I think the equipment would upgrade, mostly because of how far technology has come in the last couple decades. However, I don't want someone to pull out their iphone and using it as a trap, saying something like "oh, there's an app for that."

No I agree with that lol. That would be terrible.

I'm just thinking upgraded packs and traps etc. Maybe even a new HQ that could hold more vehicle's etc especially if the amount of people in the team has grown more than one vehicle would be required. (Obviously keep the Firestaion as main HQ )
