Really all they would need out of murray is either him coming back towards end and saving the new recuits. Or after they defeat the baddie of the film and he gives them his blessing and congrulates them. Both which could all be done in a day or two worth of filming. Ie something like nesson did as ras in tdkr.

is exactly the right age.

Christopher Mintz-Plasse
is the right age although even though I like him in some of the films he has done I don't know if he could fit into this.

Aaron Johnson
is just about the right age and I like him for this role. Looking forward to seeing Savages.

Aaron is a good choice. I throw in Liam Aiken as another suggestion.

I haven't seen much with him in to be honest but looks like he could fit the part.

Aaron Johnson is great in everything I have seen him in.

I think the first thing I saw him in was Nowhere Boy where he played the young John Lennon starting up the Beatles and he was excellent. Since watching that I have hunted out some of his other films and he has a great range in acting and think could adapt well to the action/comedy aspects that the ghostbusters have been.

Jonah Hill would be good for a grown up Oscar

Ok so my idea is that there will probably be Ghostbusters already established in the job seeing as this is many many years since the last film
Here is some of my ideas for a cast.

Aaron Johnson as Oscar. Not yet a Buster or a fully fledged buster.

Already established Busters

Patrick J. Adams

And Rick Hoffman as a Walter Peck kind of role. Trying to have the Ghostbusters shut down.

The question everyone will ask is, do we need a female member this time around? Janine became an honorary one in the cartoon, and Extreme had the goth chick. I know that opens up the cliche love or triangle subplot unfortunately. They could just all be platonic with her, but you know how Hollywood feels about that.

i am thinking that a female Ghostbuster would be use in this however I haveno ideas on who could play that role.

I think there are a number of good options Eliza COupe, Casey Wilson, Emma Stone, Anna Faris, Kristen Schaal, Lindsay Sloane, Brie Larson, Emily Blunt, Aubrey Plaza, Judy Greer, Alia Shawkat, Kaitlin Olson, Lizzy Kaplan, and Kathryn Hahn

Just to name a few names

Suffice to say, unless there's a major re-write it's going to happen. Aykroyd has been going on and on about having a female Ghostbuster since he first started pitching GB3 in the 90s.

I DEFINITELY want a female buster and theres only ONE actress that's perfect for it:
Allison Scagliotti!!!

I have no problem with a completely new cast or spin-off that takes place in a new location entirely. There is no reason instead of New York the new city couldn't be Rome, London, Los Angeles, Paris etc. Imagine the old buildings and ghosts that could be there instead. You could call it Ghostbusters International LOL.

That is actually a very interesting idea. I think probably not in this film though maybe if they made any more it would be good. That is if this one even ever gets made.

"The franchise rights alone will make us rich beyond our wildest dreams"

The whole reason Venkman wanted to create the Ghostbusters. Would be odd if they didnt even mentions GBs in other cities

I'm actually hoping it doesn't because I think it will be a flop like the Blue Brothers was. The original cast is too out of acting and too old to do the same thing again. Then again I'm also not a huge fan of UFO fanatic Dan Aykroyd and his conspiracy theories. People were angry with Scientology propaganda being in Tom Cruise's War of the Worlds, wait until this comes out.

If the original cast aren't in it, then no. They don't have to have large roles. But having them involved in some way is a must.

I think everyone is in agreement about that. Although people do now seem to be coming round to the idea of Venkman not being in as Murray really doesnt seem to want to do this.

I am one of them people. As long as Ray, Egon and Winston are there i'll be happy with that.

I don't think they should be doing as much of the physical work though as I think it would be too un-realistic for men of there age to be doing that kind of work, I mean I remember they were moaning that the packs were to heavy in Ghostbusters 2 and that was 23 years ago.

They need to be there obviously as owners/management of the company and doing all the work with creating new equipment, researching the Ghosts etc.
Maybe helping out on some of the Busts but it really is time for the new generation of Busters to be taking the lead in all physical activities.

Jonah is ok but I don't see him fitting as oscar. I could see other names mentioned.

As for female buster ackrod has said many times he wants a female one this time. So I don't see harm if we got one. We could do 3 guys 1 girl if they just want 4 busters. Or 3 guys 2 girls if they went 5 busters. But I don't see any more then 5 on top of the other 3 old schoolerrs in film. Any morre be to much.

I would even go with Anna Faris, but kind of unrecognizable.

Eh, I've heard her name come up a lot, and I honestly don't get it. Her style of comedy... doesn't seem to fit.
