They should go left-field...

Mark Duplas, Jay R. Ferguson, Matt Jones, and Nathan Stewart-Jarrett... with Zoe Kazan.

Well IDW did do that recently making Janine, Kylie and that agent all ghostbusters at once.

Slimer should be a mascot of the team. Frank Welker should voice.

So, no Oscar "Venkman"? i could have sworn Aykroyd told Weaver that her son would be a Ghostbuster.

They've changed their statements so many times...!

if the team is all females i am 100% hyped and ready to pay the ticket.

Three options:

a) Leave it alone / Stop trying to make this happen
b) Sequel
c) Reboot

It's tricky.

What do people like nowadays? The Big Bang Theory cast. I guess they'd could make it like those type of people are Ghostbusters. Maybe they woo Rose Byrne for the Bill Murray-type of role. **** I don't know.

Or maybe just let the movie franchise RIP because it's such an incredibly divisive topic as more of the original cast is dying or is stubborn (Bill Murray) and their nostalgia quota can't be filled.

i don't really get the point of just an all female team unless they're the old gb's daughters. I'm all for less of a sausagefest but still. that said, i'd like christin milioti as egon's daughter. I'd bet saldana would probably end up zeddmore's daughter seeing as she's practically a geek princess, and this might be the only notch left off her belt.:woot:

jennifer lawrence and emma stone should round out the other two. there. i said it.

I'm against a straight up reboot,I don't care if it's four girls, four guys or four trained chips.

I'm pretty much done with this as it is,but if they gave (at least) Ray & Winston prominent roles,I'd probably go for nostalgia's sake if nothing else.

Four trained chips? That would definitely be worth checking out!

Would they scream when you eat them though?

I love the idea of an all female group of ghostbusters. So brilliant

If they're changing things so much they might as well just change the whole thing and make a whole new movie with a new concept. Just make a movie about female ghost hunters and drop the connection to Ghostbusters.

For me to watch this movie now, it's going to end up which actresses they choose.

Now I'm reading on Variety it's going to be a total reboot. EHHH.

I would rather keep the original continuity. If this IS true (despite the conflicting reports) then that's probably why Miller/Lord passed on it.

I'd rather burn my face than live in a world where Ghostbusters 3 exists.

Well Sony wants to do it, and they have no idea what they're doing. Who is running Columbia now?

an all female Ghostbusters team? PASS!!!

no way in hell i would watch, especially if Melissa McCarthy is in the movie. i can't stand her. though she would probably make a decent Stay Puft or Slimer

1984 - Ghostbusters released
actor / approximate age while filming in 1983

Harold Ramis - age 39
Bill Murray - age 33
Ernie Hudson - age 38
Dan Aykroyd - age 31

Sigourney Weaver - age 34
Rick Moranis - age 30
Annie Potts - age 31

The original didn't cast anyone over 40 for the major roles (yes they were all older in G2 but that's beside the point--they were already cast.) Melissa McCarthy is over 40. She shouldn't be in it as a major character. If they make her some silly ghost cameo maybe that could work but it's not something to ask for. It doesn't need her.

I always forget that Ramis was the oldest. He looked good for his age, and didn't changed at all by the time Ghostbusters 2 came out.

Everything about the film sounds terrible.

>Paul Fieg directing it.
>All female Ghostbusters team (got nothing wrong with women on the team, I've always wanted Emma Stone in the film but an all woman team? That sounds forced as hell.)
>reboot

Mother of Ramis this idea sounds terrible. There's only one Ghostbusters 3...

I think it'll probably end up a reboot because God, AKA Bill Murray wanted no part of this movie, which is disappointing. Maybe they should have asked Wes Anderson to write and direct it.:o what's sad is he's starring in 'B.O.O. Bureau of Otherworldly Operations' with Melissa McCarthy, who'd I'd bet, if Fieg directs, will probably end up a Ghostbuster.
