Ghostbusters 3 - Part 2

I'm still with the 2 men, 2 women kind of Ghostbusters movie. Hell, I wouldn't mind if they went with 6 Ghostbusters and had it split between men and women.

The fact that Akyroyd keeps bouncing around ideas about the next movie makes me think that nobody is satisfied with an all female cast.

I think Emma Stone is a must for this movie. She would be perfect.

this post is my naked banana.

I'm bill in this instance.

That would be interesting, very interesting, but Ramis was against the implied romance between the two (which is why it was ignored in GB2)

That's a shame, I loved that part of GB I. It humanized Egon to a degree. What didn't he like about it?

Also, an all female Ghostbusters film would not work. Not at all.

There is no way you can work that premise where it will be successful. Now a female led GB film? That can work. But an all female version? HELL NO.

The only way to do this film is to do it in the style of Extreme Ghostbusters. Hell, they should base it on that. The premise will already be very similar if they make this, so why not? That show had great, varied characters. And not only did you have a female on the team, but you had another black guy, a latino, and a guy in a wheelchair.

It writes itself. Just use Ray instead of Egon.

It respects the original, but it still its own thing. You don't need to do a full on reunion or have a crazy gimmick like making it all female.

I've been saying this from the very start.

HEY HOLLYWOOD! DO YOURSELVES A FAVOUR AND READ THIS THREAD! WE GB FANS KNOW MORE ABOUT WHAT WE WANT TO SEE THAN YOU DO!

Interesting, but disagree on your "Winston." Winston is supposed to be the low-key, common-sense guy; Kevin Hart would have to smoke an entire house full of weed to get down to that level.

I would make Kevin Hart the Venkman, Chris Pratt the Ray, Zack Levi the Winston and Emma Stone is fine as the Egon.

Yeah,I see your point about Hart.I guess I can see Pratt as the Ray substitute,(Since he kinda looks like Ray) but I really like Levi as the Ray substitute.I think his would be the toughest to replace. You can always find a fast talker, intellectual and everyman, but to find the sort of nerd/man child-Ray equivalent that doesn't come across awkward/ridiculous is tough.I think Levi is the best bet to pull that off and still be endearing.

A Ghostbusters cinematic universe? Wowww...

I mean I love GB dearly...but seriously, this cinematic universe stuff is threatening to jump the shark in a hurry.

The only way that I can see a "Ghostbusters Cinematic Universe" work is if a preexisting property or film of Columbia Pictures/Sony is brought in. I guess that there's also always the idea of having Ghostbusters in different cities or even a period piece "Ghostbusters" type of movie (e.g. "Steampunk Ghostbusters").

Looks like on the 29th I'll be getting some Ghostbusters Krispy Kremes.

And I live only about ten blocks away from a Krispy Kream. Tim Horton's is a lot closer, but I'd walk the extra nine blocks for those Ghostbuster Donuts.

You'd probably need the exercise in any event.

I wanna just bite that little hat off his head.

I don't think there are any Krispy Kreames here in the northeast.A few years ago they came here, fixin' to unseat Dunkin' Doughnuts. But,in this town,DD rules on high.(Seriously, there's like one on every corner) It was a TKO in the first round and they all closed down within two years.

I would've thought it would be the same here with Tim Horton's, but there are a few rival donut chains in the Vancouver area. As I mentioned before we have Krispy Kream, as well as Robin's Donuts. Although I've only ever seen the one Krispy Kream, there are at least 3 Robin's Donuts that I know of. Maybe it's because of all the different municipalities in Vancouver (Burnaby, Richmond, Surrey, New Westminster, etc) that these other donut places can still survive. Or maybe it's because Robin's Donuts is the only place that carries the Triple Chocolate Donut. That's a chocolate donut, made "jelly style" filled with chocolate cream filling, and topped with chocolate icing. The only way they could POSSIBLY make it ANY better is to add chocolate sprinkles on top.

so it seems that we hopefully will get various version of the Ghostbusters aside from the rumored all female team

in that case, this would be my ideal team made up of 5 members (gotta remember, Louis became an unofficial 5th member in the 2nd film in a way):

Charlie Day
Will Arnett
Paul Rudd
Sean William Scott
Damon Wayans Jr

I wouldn't mind seeing any of these people as a next ghostbuster.

James Franco
Emma Stone
Ken Joeng
Terry Crews

Franco is such a flake. I would be worried about him sleepwalking through a project like this.

CANT STAND Jeong! Glad his popularity is dying and he's not in many movies anymore.

I'd prefer James' younger brother Dave though

Now that I think about it, Jeong probably wouldn't be the best choice. Dave Franco is a good candidate .

Hmmm, I'd like to see...

Richard Ayoade
Amy Poehler
Chris Pratt
Kristen Bell

The Ghostbusters were an 80's business that went big in NYC and became a bit of an urban legend/iconic status amongst the rest of the USA and world.

Government got involved, 'shut them down' but still used them behind closed doors - they did secret government work - they and no choice when the FBI knock on your door.

It's now 2014 - they are long forgotten and media doesn't pay them much respect and little is known, sure the conspiracists amongst us have other ideas.

Chris Pratt as a character similar to his Parks and recreation days is one such conspiracist theory - he loves everything from big foot to HAARP controlling the weather.

He starts to experience paranormal activity himself - his apartment - once an abandoned fire hall (and home to a certain team) appears to be haunted.

Green Slime appears, food taken. He uses his Mac to record the apartment and eventually captures an image of Slimer.

He digs deeper and uncovers the urban legend of the ghost busters.

These guys are hard to track down - some were last scene working for the government and others, faded off to another country.

It's only Ray that is willing to speak out.

Chris Pratt character then uses online forums to find other such enthusiasts and enlists fellow geeks to meet him to resurrect the Real Ghostbusters - with training from the original, he takes it further into a new era.

Chris Pratt
Emma Stone
Kunal Nayyar
Terry Crew
Paul Rudd

i just pray it doesnt turn into the female version of a dick and fart comedy. sadly seeing the past credits of the chosen thats gonna happen

I wouldn't mind Ghostbusters as a new "cinematic universe", but don't reboot it please. PLEASE.
