I still don't agree that throwing someone in jail for 30 days is the proper response for being a rude dumbass kid. I don't think that teaches anyone anything other than causing more hatred towards authority figures. I'm not saying the judge was wrong but again, there's no lesson to be learned here.
Which is why she goes to jail, and not a classroom for the morally-challenged youth. If she doesn't deserve lessons, the she won't get them...but she will get punishment.
I can punch someone in the face walking down the street right now and I'd get less time.
Not if you curse and act like a jerk in court at your hearing.
