Gods & Men: The Ancient Myths RPG: Chapter 1 OOC Thread

Gods & Men: The Ancient Myths RPG: SEASON I

Screen Name: Carnage27

Character you have created: Archilaus, The Scourge of Sparta

Race/Culture: Spartan,Human Vampire

Racial Traits: Vampire: Hypnotic Gaze (A vampire can crush the will of mortals by looking into their eyes. The vampire must concentrate for this ability to work, and those merely looking at the vampire are not affected. Those with strong enough will power can fight off a vampire's dominating gaze, but it is difficult to do and takes all their concentration to do. The longer the vampire goes without blood the weaker and easier to resist this power gets.); Blood Drain (A vampire can suck the blood from a living creature via it's fangs. The vampire must successfully grapple their victim to bite them and begin draining their blood. With the vampire's unnatural strength this is usually not a difficult task to accomplish. The opponent begins feeling their life essense being drained away within a handful of seconds, and within a minute their abilities begin to weaken (physical attributes, racial traits, etc). If the victim is still grappled after a minute of feeding, they grow even weaker to the point of immobility. Once the vampire has completely drained the victim of their blood, they die and rise three days later as a vampire spawn under the yolk of the vampire that slayed them until their master's death. Drinking the blood of a living creature energizes a vampire, empowering their abilities and healing wounds they have sustained. The longer a vampire goes without blood, the weaker they become. After a few days without fresh blood, a vampire's physical abilities begin to weaken, as well as some of their other racial traits. If a vampire goes without blood for over a week, they become extremely weak (movement rates, certain powers, and physical abilities reduced by 3/4). After another few days, the vampire will become immobile and catatonic, and a day later they will die of blood starvation. If the vampire can consume the blood of a living creature before becoming immobile, they will immediately feel refreshed and strengthen. The more blood they consume the better they become until they are back to their normal, vile selves.); Children of the Night (Vampires command the lesser creatures of the world, and, once per day, can control a swarm of rats, bats, or a pack of wolves. The vampire can summon whatever of the three types of creatures are known to be in the area and they will arrive as soon as possible (1 mile radius) and serve the vampire for up to one hour.); Gaseous Form (A vampire can assume the form of mist at will, and can remain gaseous indefinately with a fly speed of 3 mph with perfect manuverability. The vampire cannot perform any physical attack or use it's gaze when in this form, but can still cast spells. Likewise, a vampire in mist form can only be damaged by spells and weapons able to hit incorporeal creatures. A vampire gains this ability after 100 years of unlife.); Alternate Form (A vampire can take the shape of a bat or a wolf once per day. Once the vampire chooses that form, it gains all the attacks and abilities associated with that form, and may remain in that form for the night, or until the vampire reverts back to it's original shape. A vampire gains this ability after 200 years of unlife.); Heightened Senses (A vampire is the consumate hunter in the darkness, and, as such, their senses are much more attuned then that of a human. Their hearing and sense of smell is much more astute than a mortal, as they are able to hear a creature's heartbeat up to 30ft away and smell the fear in a victim that's before them. Their sight is also enhanced, as a vampire can see in the blackness of night as though they were a hunting cat.); Weaknesses (Despite all their powers, vampires have a few major weaknesses. Vampires are extremely allergic to sunlight and exposure to the rays of the sun for even a handful of seconds could be deadly. A daylight spell will also injure a vampire and potentially kill it, though it is not as strong as a reaction as if it were true sunlight. A vampire is highly allergic to garlic and silver, and both materials can severely weaken a vampire if they are injested or come into physical contact with them as both will burn the skin of a vampire causing extreme pain. A large enough exposure to either garlic or silver will kill a vampire. A vampire is helpless when it is at rest during the day, and can be killed by beheading or either completely destroying or removing it's heart from it's chest. The old wive's tale of a stake through the heart will not kill a vampire, but it will immobilize the vampire thus appearing as such. If the stake is ever removed, the vampire will immediately regain it's mobility and woe to any in it's way. The blood of certain races can also have adverse affects on vampires, for instance the blood of fey creatures is said to act as a hallucinegin. Vampires are resistant to the power of a holy man, but, if the priest or cleric has enough faith, they are able to drive the vampire away from the area for a day); Being undead, vampires are immune to cold, poisons, negative energy attacks, disease, aging, paralysis, is highly resistent to polymorph and electrical attacks, and can only be truly harmed by magic or magical weapons

Origin Info/Details (don't be blunt, be as thorough as possible):

Archilaus was once the king of mighty Sparta in Greece, and won many victories on the field of battle. That is, until he came in contact with a vampire. A vampire who some say was the very first to walk this world.

Once he was stricken with Vapirism, the king went into self exile in Romania, at first ashamed at what he had become. But as the years became decades, and the decades became centuries, he began to revel in his new form. He threw himself tot he study of the arcane arts, becoming the most feared elemental mage of his time, and was also able to become a very formidable Necromancer as well.

In the past two centuries as a vampire, Archilaus has amassed a huge following to his name, whether from creating vampire minion, or attracting those who are partial to his cause. He has hosts of Orcs, Dark Elves, and Werewolves at his command, along with other creatures of the night.

He has made it a point to spread darkness and Vapirism across the world, and may have just found a way to accomplish his goal.

Speed/Reaction Timing Level: Reacts much faster than a man in peak condition; Faster than a man (able to run at speeds of 25 MPH)

Agility: Much more agile than a man

Intelligence: Genius

Fighting Skill: Trained(As a former Spartan, he has been trained in combat, but has lost much of his expertise in the years since becoming a vampire.)

Resources: Extreme

Notable Equipment: Vampire's Embrace, an enchanted Spartan blade that never dulls. Archilaus also still possesses his Spartan armor and shield, though only wears it when he is headed to a large scale battle.

Weaknesses: Listed in race traits.

Supporting Characters: Scarlet (Briton vampire, former thief/divination master), Carmen (Roman vampire asassin), Ivan (Russian vapire scientist), Erik Bloodhorn (Norse werewolf, general of Archilaus's armies) Yes...he rolls deep.

Describe using proper English grammar what you think you can bring to the RPG: Another bad guy, which we could defintely use. And plus...vampires are cool.

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: As many as needed.

Do you know how to post pictures on the hype boards: Yes

Sample Post (Minimum Four decent-sized paragraphs containing dialogue):

I am Archilaus. I have seen kings rise and fall in the blink of an eye. i have watch empires control and crumble in the time most would see their lives end. I am Archilaus, and I am a vampire. I was once a great king of noble Sparta, now I am king of the creatures of the night.

I have waited for the time when the darkness could spread. When it would be able to envelope the world. That time has come.

I glance over my shoulder and see Scarlet rise out of bed, the moon reflecting of her chalk white skin. Her supple body presses up against me as she whispers in my ear seductively, "Charaun has laid waste to Athens, my lord."

I smile and turn to her, "Thank you, my dear. Go now, and summon Erik. Tell him to prepare our troops. We make for Greece tomorrow."

She struts out of the room to do my bidding. Scarlet has been of great service the past few years. She is one of my newest creations, but already one of my most useful. Her divination skills are powerful, and awoke when I made her mine.

But I now stand on the threshold of everything I have ever dreamed for. Gone are the days when the world embraces the sun. Soon, the only light that will matter will be the moonlight that now shines on my face.

Gods & Men: The Ancient Myths RPG: SEASON I

Screen Name: wiegeabo

Character you have created (include known alias or nicknames here as well): Xxymryx (also known as Demon Hunter, Ghost Killer, and Thrice-Damned Elf-Man by his enemies, and even some friends)

Race/Culture (What race is your character, and, if human, what culture does your character hail from, for example is your character Roman, Athenian, Celtic, Norse, Spartan, Persian, etc) (GMs must approve of any race not part of the big 5: Human, Elf, Dwarf, Halfling, and Orc): Half human, half dark-elf

Racial Traits (traits specific to your race; a list can be found in the second post of the OOC thread) (For races not listed, GMs must create traits for that race first before player approval): Xxymryx physically looks human. His odd breeding has given him unique offshoots of elven abilities such as lightness of foot, slow-aging, slightly better than human hearing, and excellent night vision. Though a century old, Xxymryx is physically a human in his early 30's.

Character Class (Somewhat similar to the classes in the CAH RPG, but with some differences) (Choose One):

Mystic
Elemental (Fire)
Enchatment
Transformational
Druidic
Speech Color and/or Font (actually say what you're using, i.e. Arial Black; don't go "Like this", or what not): Speaking/Thinking

Character Alignment (Good/Evil/Neutral): Neutral

Character Personality (Give information on how your character acts, what he/she believes in, how they handle situations): Xxymryx is pretty much looking out for number one. He'll help people, but mostly it serves his own purposes, namely revenge, getting paid, or furthering his own secret quest.

Origin Info/Details (don't be blunt, be as thorough as possible): Xxymryx is the son of a female dark-elf who, disguised as a beautiful elf, seduced an unsuspecting human. Her goal, and the goal of her clan, had been to create the perfect blend of human and elf. An army with which to spread their influence.

While Xxymryx isn't the perfect physical specimen they were looking for, that was the least of their problems. For the seduced man was a knight who led a charge to rescue his son. Many dark-elf died, drawing the vengeful anger of the clan. So the knight fled with his son to the only group that could protect them. The goodly elves of the land of Britainy.

But, even though he was raised by elves and his father, Xxymryx still carries the darkness of his elven heritage. And when the dark elves raised demons to finally bring their wayward son home, it was Xxymryx's father who paid the ultimate price.

For the last century, Xxymryx has studied magics and the unnatural, and has traveled the lands of the known world and beyond, searching for the clan on which to exact his revenge, and killing every demon, ghoul, ghost, spirit, and other supernatural creature that threatens people, gets in his way, or just plain makes him mad.

Attributes (Select one from each category) (some races are greater or weaker than a human in specific categories and will be noted below or in the racial traits section of the OOC thread):

Strength Level: Normal Human

Speed/Reaction Timing Level: Normal Elf

Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort/Durability: Peak Human

Agility: Normal Elf

Intelligence: Genius

Fighting Skill: Trained

Resources: Large

Notable Equipment: Xxymryx carries any number of various items on his person, and in his covered horse-drawn cart. He's also made any number of different types of acquantances around the world. Such items range from basic weapons to basic and mid-level magical items for spell casting and spirit fighting, as well as items of basic protection. He also has a number of books and scrolls with magical information.

But his most valuable possesions, which he always carries with him, are a detailed tome on the variety of supernatural, and the methods to defeat them, an enchanted staff of lopsided wood that looks like a cross between club and walking stick (and can function well as either), and sachels hidden within his robes that carry things like money and various supernatural fighters (including salt, cold iron pellets, and holy water).

Weaknesses: Xxymryx must constantly struggle against his darker half. Spells of good and protection are somewhat less effective on him, and he's a bit more vulnerable to the temptations and spells of evil.

Supporting Characters: Around the world are any number of characters Xxymryx has ecountered in his travels that either owe him favors, or the other way around. Xxymryx also travels with a special secret companion that he keeps safely tucked away, but relies on for reasons he keeps to himself...

Describe, using proper English grammar, what you think you can bring to the RPG: The neutrals tend to get limited representation in fantasy, but they can also be the most interesting (and challenging) since they can waver between good and evil without truly being either. I want to bring a character who people see as a hero, who even tends to act heroic, but who's typically anything but.

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: As many as I can. Usually at least once, maybe twice a day.

Do you know how to post pictures on the hype boards:

Sample Post (Minimum Four decent-sized paragraphs containing dialogue):

"DIE!!!"

"By the gods. Do you realize how many times I have heard that?" I stick my staff into the creature's throat as he leaps at me, and ignite him with flame from the inside. His body dissapates in dark mist and ash. "One would think that immortal beings would take the time to devise more complex threats."

I hear behind me the hissing of the creature's vile breathren, and calmly reach into my robes. At the last moment, I slip to the side faster than most people can see. The vile things land where I was standing, and scream in pain as the purified salt I left on the ground seeps into their skin.

"Damnable ghouls." While they screem in pain, I pull out a blessed dagger and drive it into the brain of one while putting my hand to the other's face. Cleansing fire is the last thing it sees.

I clean my dagger as I walk away, being sure to carefully tuck the bloody rag into a pocket. One never knows when ghoul's blood may be valuable. Infact, there's a certain necromancer in Gaul...

"D-Did you kill them all?" A young woman, the village council leader's lovely daughter, to be specific, steps from behind a tree.

"I asked that no one follow me."

"I know...but...I had to see..."

I nod. "I understand." I do, actually. Danger tends to attract certain people. This is hardly the first village I've dealt with. Nor the first daughter of a village leader.

"So...we are safe now?"

"Yes. The graveyard has been cleansed."

"Thank you so much."

I nod. "Back to the village then."

"Yes. I'm sure you want your payment now," she says, smiling shyly at me.

I smile back. "Indeed." I do enjoy getting paid...

Character you have created (include known alias or nicknames here as well): Olek Thorgrim - The Axe Master.

Race/Culture: Norse Human

Racial Traits (traits specific to your race; a list can be found in the second post of the OOC thread) (For races not listed, GMs must create traits for that race first before player approval): None. Normal Human.

Character Class (Somewhat similar to the classes in the CAH RPG, but with some differences) (Choose One): Fighter

Speech Color and/or Font (actually say what you're using, i.e. Arial Black; don't go "Like this", or what not): Arial Black.

Character Alignment (Good/Evil/Neutral): Good

Character Personality (Give information on how your character acts, what he/she believes in, how they handle situations):

Olek is a decent man. All he wanted in life was simplicity, to find a wife and bear strong sons. He wanted to ive in peace and quiet, away from wars and fighting and death that seemed to plague the rest of the lands.

He is a man of principle, morals and honour. He lives in a world of black and white, of good and evil and his beliefs are iron. He would never harm a woman or child and would never steal or decieve.

Origin Info/Details (don't be blunt, be as thorough as possible):

Living in a small village on the outskirts of the Tiveden forest, Olek was out felling trees for the winter timber stores when the raiders arrived. Men from far off lands, armed to the teeth took the village unawares, slaying men and babies, raping and kidnapping the women and looting what they could.

Olek had heard the violence from high in the hills, but had arrived too late, seeing only the distant riders as they left the remnants of a once peaceful community ablaze.

Holding the lifeless body of his son in his arms, Olek vowed to the gods that he would find the men responsible and avenge his loss.

Attributes (Select one from each category) (some races are greater or weaker than a human in specific categories and will be noted below or in the racial traits section of the OOC thread):

Agility: Normal Human

Intelligence: Average

Weaknesses: Olek is a normal human warrior and so carries all the usual physical weakness. Also he would be vunerable to magic and sorcery.

Supporting Characters : At present time, Olek is a man alone, but will have a band of NPCS later in his tenure. Nothing is yet set in stone though.

Describe using proper English grammar what you think you can bring to the RPG: Enthusiasm for the genre and the passion to write a decent character.

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: eleventy four.

Sample Post (Minimum Four decent-sized paragraphs containing dialogue):

to be added later.

Screen Name: SenseiofCheese

Character you have created: Gunnar Olafsson, called Gunnar the Tame

Race/Culture: Norse Human

Racial Traits: Normal Human

Character Class:

Spell Swords (these warriors mix the art of swordplay with spells from a specific school of magic; spell swords include the necromantic shadowdancers, elven bladesingers, and other magic-weilding warriors; Spell Swords have access to minor spells in a single school)

Patron Deity: Odin and the other Gods of Asgard

MagicSpellswords get only 1 point, and can choose any school to specialize in; : Druidic Magic

Speech Color and/or Font: Century Gothic, Bold, Sienna

Character Alignment: Good

Character Personality: Gunnar is mostly introspective; he prefers his own company over that of others, and is mostly quiet. He thinks before he acts and is not quick to anger. He tries, whenever possible, to shy away from violence but also realizes that it is sometimes the only way, and will not hesitate to defend himself or others if necessary.

Origin Info/Details: Gunnar and his brother Björn grew up in a small village in Norway. Like all others in their homeland, they were raised believing there was no higher honor than for one to fall in battle and take one´s place in Valhalla. Taught to fight from an early age, both boys showed promise in the art of war and it seemed as they would become the greatest warriors the town had ever seen. But one day when Gunnar was still just a child, another boy with whom Gunnar shared a friendly rivalry challenged him to a sparring session. They fought for almost an hour. Gunnar had the upper hand when his friend, trying to surprise his opponent, miscalculated Gunnar´s lunge and stepped into the sword. The boy died from his wounds. From that day on Gunnar vowed not to fight. Shunned by his father, and rididculed by all but his older brother, he was given the name Gunnar the Tame, as he was regularly thrown around and beaten by his peers, never once raising a fist in self defense.

Gunnar went on to study the ancient arts of the mystics, something that seemed to finally give him a sense of purpose, while his brother continued on the path of war, excelling and becoming a living legend of the North, hailed as the best swordsman in Scandinavia.

Now, it has been two years ago since Gunnar tearfully wished his brother farewell on his journey to the far off lands. His brother sailed off in search of his destiny. He would become the greatest warrior in the world, promising to rid the world of all that plagued it. Björn´s first stop? Athens, Greece.

When word of Athen´s destruction reached Norway, Gunnar immediately set sail. As his brother had vowed to vanquish evil, so did Gunnar vow to find Björn.

Attributes:

Strength Level: Normal Human

Speed/Reaction Timing Level: Normal Human

Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort/Durability: Normal Human

Agility: Normal Human

Intelligence: Above-Average

Fighting Skill: Expert, although he rarely utilizes his full potential in battle.

Resources: Average

Notable Equipment: Gunnar is travelling on a Viking ship with a crew of 10 warriors. On his person he carries a traditional viking sword and shield, both given to him by his brother. A green cloak sowed by his mother. A ring given to him by a travelling mystic; Ring of Elemental Control (allowing him just the amount of power over the elements stated in the "minor abilities" of Druidic Magic).

Weaknesses: Normal Human

Supporting Characters: 10 Warriors on board his ship. Some will become important, some will die. Remains to be seen.

Describe using proper English grammar what you think you can bring to the RPG: Dedicated player with, hopefully, an interesting character. And hell, I'm from Iceland, you're getting a real life viking here :woot:

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: Many as I need to if I'm interacting, but otherwise I'm hoping for quality over quantity.

Do you know how to post pictures on the hype boards:

Sample Post (Minimum Four decent-sized paragraphs containing dialogue):

"Come here, friend." the young boy got down on his knees, reaching out to the small creature that had raised it´s brown nose in his direction.

The baby-faced adolescent chuckled warmly. "Don't be afraid, little one." he spoke gently, and with warmth, and the creature seemed to understand him and, better yet, believe him. It took one ever so curious step towards young Gunnar Olafsson.

"What are you doing here!" a deep, harsh voice boomed from behind. Like thunder had hit the ground where it stood, the small rabbit jumped and turned, disappearing into the snow covered woods. Gunnar sighed mournfully, bracing himself. "I have every right to be here. Just leave me be." he said, turning to face a large, bearded man.

"The woods are no place for Gunnar the Tame. Who knows what dangers lurk there? You could be devoured by a blood starved rabbit! Or a vicious worm!" the man let out a deep, disgusting laugh. The battle scar cover the right side of his face seemed to slither in ridicule of Gunnar, and the man´s hilt shook back and forth. "Stop it."

Another laugh sent shivers down to the pit of Gunnar´s soul. "Or what? What will Gunnar the Tame do if I don't?" the man growled, and both of them knew it was a dare.

"I wouldn't worry about what he will do, Sigurd."

It was as if the bearded man had lost his voice. His eyes widened and his teeth gnashed together as he felt the sting of a sword at his back. "I suggest you take that fat belly of yours and go home. And leave my brother alone." Björn´s voice was laced with a type of rage that Gunnar only ever heard when someone messed with his little brother.

Oh and just assume everything Gunnar says is translated from Nordic, unless he´s speaking to someone who doesn't speak that language.

Carnage27 is approved, wiegeabo is approved, and so far everything seems to be fine with your application Optikal once you get the sample post in.

Sensei? You're approved once you edit in actual Nordic language. We don't half ass it around here. :cmad: Kidding, approved.

Þakka þér kærlega fyrir að samþykkja umsóknina mína, Trusty.

Haven't run it by JB since he hasn't been on MSN...but frankly I just feel like the RPG needs a picture for the first post to go beneath the title. After googling through a large number of pictures, and trying to avoid very recognizable pictures from D&D and other fanatasy games...here are two I've narrowed it down to:

JB, you cool with this idea? And which do you all prefer?

Looking good on the apps, guys.

Carnage, you need to choose what element Archilaus is a master of. Other than that, all looks good.

As for the pics, the plan during the game's first run to have a specific pic for each section (Places of Interest, Magic, Bestiary, etc). But what with it dying and all, I never really got a chance to do it.

I'm all for adding some art to the mix though.
I'm going to post some of the pics I gathered way back when, and I encourage you all to do the same. Once we get enough, we can all vote which pic is best suited for each section with the winners getting added on.

What I was thinking of to mark the Planes section

We need a pic for the game's first post to go under the title, a pic for the Roster, the Magic System, Racial Traits, Bestiary, Places of Interest, and the Planes of Existence.
So we need to come up with seven pics then. So post some artwork if you can, and whatever ones the majority choose for each section will go up.

Oh, and Wieg, all mystics have access to the minor Divination spells. So, unless you're bumping Xxymryx up to moderate skills in one of the four schools you selected, you have one more spell slot left to put in a school.

Earlene Tuathail – House servant, cook, cleaner and helper to Dervil. She is spunky for her age, which is unknown but her blonde hair is streaked with white and she wears a head covering over it most of the time. Seems to have a smattering of Druid powers when it comes to Herbs.

Various others – Town figures,

Describe using proper English grammar what you think you can bring to the RPG: I can bring a new cultural viewpoint to the RPG, as well as the presence of a woman

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: I post when needed.

Do you know how to post pictures on the hype boards: Indeedy

Sample Post (Minimum Four decent-sized paragraphs containing dialogue):

The cat rubbed against her leg, it’s stark white mark on it’s chest in contrast to the jet black of it’s body. Aithne absently bent over and pet her as she walked through the door. Cait had been around since well before she’d been born, a companion to her father.

“There you are!” Earlene exclaimed as she chopped herbs on the large wooden block. Aithne smiled, breathing in the earthy aroma.
“Hmm…goat?” She asked snagging a small cut of garlic and placing it on her tongue. Earlene smiled and nodded,
“If only your talent with cooking was as good as your smell.” Aithne rolled her eyes and removed her cloak, hanging it near the inside fire. Aad was in the cook house, a small round hut made of stone, the cooking pit in the middle with a hole in the thatched roofing to allow the smoke to escape through.
“How’s mother today?” Aithne asked pulling out plates, she loathed leaving the warmth of the kitchen. The old woman sighed and gathered the herbs up in her hand, placing them in the middle of a cheese cloth the tying it in a small ball.

“She managed to finish that cloth she was working on, tis the most beautiful one I’ve ever seen her do. I think she means to make a blanket out of it.” Aithne nodded,
“Perhaps, Gormlaith’s child is due any day now.” Earlene passed by her and paused, she snagged a bit of twig from Aithne’s hair. “You’ve been out with Isleen in the field again.” She said scoldingly. Aithne smiled mischeviously,
“She’s young and until she’s sent to Druid Kevyn she has no one to guide her.” She said referring to the young druidling the council had been searching for a teacher for.

“It’s so far away to send a child.” Earlena said in regards to sending Isleen away to a nearby town with an Elder Druid.
“But it must be done.” Aithne turned at the sound of her father’s voice. He ducked under the low doorframe and stood to his full length as he pulled off his cloak. Earlene nodded,
“Of course, of course.” She said plopping the cheesecloth bundles into the large cauldron on the fire. Caeoimhin placed his hand on his daughters shoulder.
“Go clean yourself, I’ll help with setting for dinner before I go to your mother.” Aithne nodded and slipped down the corridor to her room, grabbing her soap, towel and clean dress she exited outside though the small common room to the back porch. A large strawberry tree grew at the end, within which was the shower, built of four wooden sides and a door, the water pump stood within it. Aithne opened the door, hanging her towel and clothes up on the wooden hook behind it before stripping down, her bare feet on the cobbled stone floor, she pumped the water into the bronze caldron, out of which rose a large hollowed piece of wood, attached to a foot bellow it pushed water through the holes in the top of it, allowing for a shower. Having filled the water she focused on it, bringing it to a warm temperature, while the shower pump was for the ones in the family not adept at water magic she was able to form her own. Forming the water into a column she bent it over her, allowing it to form into a large orb, stepping under it she willed the water to slowly sprinkle down on her, she pulled her hair pin out, setting it on her clothes, and shook her hair out. Leaning her head back she ran her fingers through her hair as the water washed over it. She smiled as the water flowed over her hair and face, enjoying the harmony she received from it.

“Aithne! Aithne!”
Her head shot up, at the sound of Earlene’s voice at the door. The water, carefully formed behind her plummeted into the cauldron with a splash as she grabbed her towel and began to dry off.
“What is it?” She could hear Earlene on the other side gasping for breathe from the run from he kitchen outside. “It’s Mr. Mac Lohran, he’s dying and they’ve sighted Sluagh.” Aithne took a breath,
“Earlene, get my cloak.” she pulled her dress on over her head and grabbed her hairpin, twisting her hair up as she ran into the house she slipped her shoes on inside the door and raced to the kitchen, Earlene met her with her cloak.
“Your hair!” She exclaimed grabbing one of Aad’s hat’s on the peg and shoving it over her hair. Aithne smiled, catching sight of her mother at the table. Dervil smiled at her daughter, the seemingly ever present glow that seemed to emit from her brightened with her smile.
“Be careful Aithne.” She said. “Your father is already on his way over.”
Aithne nodded and opened the door, the twilight of the evening casting a hazy red and green glow over the land.
“I will, Dagda willing.”

Oh, and Wieg, all mystics have access to the minor Divination spells. So, unless you're bumping Xxymryx up to moderate skills in Divination, you have one more spell slot left to put in a school.

Most excellent.

*ponders*

I shall change from Divination to Transformational.

Hey Carnage, how'd you get moderate Necromancy and master Elemental?
