How is the soundtrack? Any similarities with the original Godzilla theme?
None really. It's its own thing. It's a good soundtrack though.

Isn't that the case with most films?
Why do people INSIST on latching onto the few negatives of things instead of all the good? It's like people simply ignore all the positive stuff and act like the few negative things somehow hold more weight/mean more. The reviews so far have been good to great with a few bad thrown in...like most movies.
I'm not trying to single you out or anything but there's this trend all around the internet of people putting all their eggs in the review basket and only blindly seeing the bad.
Jesus people, make up your own minds.
That's a little disappointing. Ah well *shrugs*None really. It's its own thing. It's a good soundtrack though.
The Upside: Godzilla in action; top notch special effects; the first 10 minutes; Bryan Cranston
The Downside: Needs more Bryan Cranston; missing a good lead; a majority of the first two acts; wastes Elizabeth Olsen, Sally Hawkins, and David Stratharin on nothing roles
On The Side: There’s a cool little nod to Mothra in the film.
Grade: C+
I think people are just really nervous after TASM 2's reviews.I don't understand why everyone is acting like the reviews are so dire. Even the more negative reviews haven't been calling the movie outright trash or anything, mostly just talking about how average the film is.
But most are quite positive.
At the very least the reception has been similar to most of the Marvel films.

Not sure if it was posted but a big UK film magazine (Empire) gave it 3/5
