I think most of the big companies have learned to release any trailer they play during SDCC to the public ether before or after because its going to get released one way or another.

They'd be stupid not to have a trailer. With Marvel sitting out at this year's SDCC, it's everyone else's time to shine this year. I also don't think them pushing it back two months would affect that much. If they promoted Kong: Skull Island at SDCC two years ago (along with the first Godzilla in 2013), I'm sure they'll do the same for this one.

I think it's all but confirmed that we will be getting a trailer at comic-con.

Not a Godzilla fan nor have I been following this production but I adore Michael Dougherty and have been a fan of his, for a long time. I'm thrilled he's finally been given a big studio film and for his sake, I hope it's a big hit!

Can’t wait to see some stuff from this finally. The first film is awesome my only major problem with it was that it was extremely dark. Lighting wise that is. Was tough to see a lot of the stuff taking place at night.

Besides that maybe just the fact that I didn’t really care for the wife and the kid. But as I’ve said before when it comes to these monster films my focus is more on the monsters themselves. But loved Cranston and Watanabe in their roles.

I think the lighting problem came from the digital release settings rather than the movie itself. It looked fine on the big screen, but they effed up the contrast when they released it.

Yeah I don’t remember it being as bad in the theater. When I watched it at home on blu ray is when it was really noticeable.

Excuse my ignorance but who are the other monsters the Big G will be fighting in this sequel?

King Ghidorah, Mothra and Rodan.

Also I'm kinda cautious in regards to the panel because I think it's gonna be Comic Con exclusive and we won't get an official trailer 'til the end of the year. This assuming they follow the same marketing strategy for G14.

I’m not expecting to see any footage or trailer officially. If something leaks that’s awesome. I’m just expecting and excited for some information, details and maybe concept art or behind the scenes type stuff.
