My knowledge of the wider universe here is a little … limited, but Gorzilla, Mothra, Rodan (etc) have some connection to the balance of Earth if I'm not mistake? Be that to save, or destroy humanity. Where does Kong fit into this? Or is Kong just another Monster they can throw into a duel-film?

I'm betting the finale takes place on Skull Island in order to minimize collateral damage so Kong will already be home.

Wingard has stated that there would be a clear winner in the movie. My bets are on Kong 'cause he's the underdog and, well, you know what Hollywood movies think about those.

I do hope we do get a team-up though, and from the sounds of the synopsis, it might very well happen.

He could just be jumping and punching at the same time? But yes he will definitely be bigger in this movie.
